here we go again...
my Dad's won in the 1000 flights giveaway, but hasn't got confirmation yet, have they just put the names up or have emails been sent out too. Didn't use hotmail this time to try and avoid that problem.

Oh god! I was hoping it was going to be straight forward this time. He's used my Uni address so that could be something to do with it actually.

I don't know for sure though, maybe you'll have it by the end of the day. Fingers crossed. We finally sent our choices off on Wed (after both letters arrived 1 week late!) and have heard nothing. From what other people are saying i'm not amazingly helpful!

There were 6 of us that won altogether in the first comp, 5 on hotmail. Only one of us have received our letters so far so haven't even been able to attempt to book yet. Lauren on the winners team has been really helpful though, she emailed all the confirmations to one non-hotmail address for me today so I won't have to wait any longer.

I can't find the 'I won' topic, only the one from the 10,000 flights and as far as I can see no-one's mentioned getting emails for this competition?

Just got an email from Uni saying there may be trouble with their emails til 10pm though so that might explain the problem.

You're not trying to book winter flights by any chance are you? I tried with the flights I won last year (not thinking that they hadn't been released yet) and they just kept telling me I hadn't got the dates, but not why.

My bf won on 2nd batch and he put his choices in today : rome; Lanzerote , Barcelona......... hopefully will get reply soon then I will have to book separate flight arrggghhh

I am absoloutly fuming! Just gone to book my flights now and it seems they have changed the terms and conditions regarding the dates that the flights can be taken. Here are the dates from the Jet2 winners list site:

The prize flights are subject to availability and may not be taken at peak periods such as Christmas, New Year and Bank/School holidays. Flights may not be taken between the following dates inclusive: 27th March – 20th April 09, 21st May – 31st May 09, 18th July - 2nd September 09, 23rd October – 1st November 09, 15th December - 7th January 2010, 11th - 24th February 2010 and 26th - 31st March 2010.

Here are the dates from the t&c's from the winners form you have to fill out your choices on.

Flights may not be taken between the following dates inclusive: 2nd April - 20th April 09, 14th May - 1st June 09, 25th June - 7th September 09, 15th October - 2nd November 09, 17th December 09 - 8th January 2010, 11th February - 22nd February 2010 and 25th March - 31st March 2010.

The July change has really peed me off! That's the only time I can go, I wouldn't have even bothered trying if I knew that July was off limits! What a waste of time.
