I'm so angry about it. I'd told her she had won and she was so excited, looking at where she can go, if it turns out she hasn't won I will be fuming! I've left a message on the answer machine and emailed them.

What email address did they reply on, was it the winner@ etc etc one?

We are getting ready to put together a mail merge and send out all 2000 letters as soon as possible

We have been affected by a few technical problem where customers with certain e-mail addresses have not been receiving our e-mails. We are advising all customers to wait until Friday 13th February to see if you receive an email or letter in the post. If you do not receive anything by this date then please apply on line at www.jet2.com/45 to re send, preferably not using a Hotmail address as Hotmail has rejected our e-mails.

We are currently experiencing problems attempting to send winners emails through to people with Hotmail email addresses as well as some other email providers. These providers are rejecting all Name That Destination winners emails meaning that around 2,500 people have yet to receive theirs through.

Jet2.com are arranging to post out copies of winner's emails to everybody affected by this although due to the high volume of winners affected we ask that you are patient with us as we are trying to succesfully contact everybody as soon as possible.

The Resend my Email form has been disabled to enable us to clear the backlog of email requests. The form will re-open on Friday 13th February by which time we hope to have contacted everybody. If you have not received an email or letter by this time please submit the email form using an alternative email address.

Once again we apologise for this problem and hope to rectify this as quickly as possible. The delay on these emails should not affect your chances of being granted the flights you would like.

As approximately 7,500 people are able to request flights before the 2,500 rest of us, and these prize flights are strictly limited in number, surely our chances of being granted the flights we would like WILL be affected?

I thought that-what a palaver! What I originally thought was a guaranteed holiday is now looking less and less likely....

Also I don't have a non-web address, only hotmail. I bet i'm not the only one....

PS: What they SHOULD have done was put a hold on everyone booking when they knew there was a problem-to make it fair.

to be honest theres thousands of flights between now and march 2010 so i
guess everybody will get good flights..

Thats not true. There are only a limited number of prize seats on flights, some destinations only run once a week, some once a fortnight and some don't even start flying til the end of May.
