I'll give the latest version a go. But that people have had to produce hacks to enable the "stereo mix" doesn't fill me with hope that Dell will have done it.

Oh, just noticed, they're for Vista. I'm running xp pro.

If you want to make podcasts of shows that are not available to stream then you have to use some kind of radio receiver and mp3 recording software.

Best way is to record from a real radio - then turn that into podcasts - this tool is the simplest and most flexible is Anubis Recorder - search for that in google.

Quickest way for shows that are on listen again in the iplayer seems to be this tool - Radio Downloader - search for that and look for a site called nerdoftheherd
