good one. Of course.... they are only the size of a coke can so can go in my Jacket. :-)
Seriously now.... I do think the little box that you use to check your bag is actually too small. I have only used breifcase in that since they bacem strict. So this time I'm going to load my bag, weigh it, measure it and take the scales in my pocket and also a copy of the Ryanair pages from the website. Just in case they get picky. :-)
Cheers

Hi
if you mean it's about time for the enforcement of the 'one bag' rule, I totally agree.
Not just talking about RyanAir here, but I think those people who have lots of bags to stow under seats and in the overhead lockers slow down the boarding (and ultimately take-off) process.0 -

If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.0 -
You would have a fit if you traveled on internal flights in the states. They take all sorts on and if it's too big the CC offer to store it up front for you. i saw a guy a couple of weeks ago boarding with a hot 12" pizza and coke
I had a small bottle of coke confiscated at security in Dublin last week although the woman in front of me walked through with cartons of fruit juice and bottles of baby milk. I travelled with ryanair to Dublin and was very carefull to stick to the rules on the way out even putting my handbag into my tiny roll along case. However I realised at the airport what a mug I'd been since everyone else had 2 or 3 bags and no one got stopped. I kept my handbag out and had a carrier bag full of gifts plus my case on the way back and no one stopped me.0 -

This isn't anything to do with the number of items, it's to do with the liquids rule at all EU and US airports. Anything over 100ml is banned; all liquids under this limit should be in a clear plastic bag of no more than 1 litre volume. The cartons of juice should have been confiscated along with your coke, but there are exceptions for baby milk if she was asked to taste some herself first. 'Small' bottle of coke has nothing to do with it, since there are none (to my knowledge) that contain less than 100ml.
You are allowed to take empty bottles through with you, as long as you declare them at the security post first. I do this all the time: I then fill it up with water in the toilets - and always feel very MSE for it!0 -

It was the same on internal flights in China. It's astonishing what some people carry onto planes as hand luggage.0 -
this rule has probably come around because people abuse the system, i've seen people check in for a ryanair flight with 3 pieces of hand luggage,
people are just not satisfied and have to go over board0 -

I do stick to the rules but it can be a bit irritating, I'd like to be able to carry a very small handbag for my purse, passports , tickets and travel documents but as it is I have to keep opening the case everytime I need to show them:rolleyes: Only so much can fit in a lightweight jacket.0
