  • They keep asking me to confirm that I have paid due to problems with their bank, after having this about 3/4 times I paniced and said that I have paid and also want my money back.

Obviously they said no, read the terms and conditions, and I then pointed out the distance selling regulations and they seemed to cave, but they want confirmation in writing, despite them never send me any in writing and their email not complying with the DSRs in the first place.

So now I need to spend £6 sending something special delivery so I know its been received before the 7 days are up, and so that they cannot claim they haven't received it. They also have one of my bridesmaid dress straps as a sample for my colour scheme, god knows if thta will be returned also.

I just feel completely worn down by it all, nothing seems easy at the minute with the wedding planning and trusting people with my money, and I feel like its my fault for just diving into things which appear too good to be true :(

I also got that e-mail but only once and they sent one back straight away saying that they had received it and would be sending me my receipt and details of the order in writing! I shall not hold my breath!

I feel like a bit of an idiot for not trusting my gut instinct to be honest but if I've been had by con artists then it is a big lesson learnt and I will be a lot more careful in the future.

Boo for me being a thicko!!!!

  • I'm sure it will all be fine, they have just annoyed me with their conduct and caused me to worry at a time when I could do without additional stresses...

I know - well I will have to wait and see. There is another thread on a wedding forum about them and there are people on there who have booked with them and received their confirmation.

Aparantly some people have been worried about the negative comments made on some wedding forums and contacted her bu phone. Aparently they put quite a few noses out of joint when they started out because they were offering the chair covers at a much cheaper price than all others on the market.

I think someone else on there looked her up on facebook and she was talking about weddings she's done???

Someone alse also said that she has invited them to go and have a look at a wedding she is doing in Feb so I will keep checking that board to see what gets said...

I am going to keep an open mind at the minute until I hear any evidence one way or the other.

  • I probably would have done the same if I didn't panic with all the emails asking me to confirm despite the fact i'd confirmed many times!

We were never going to have covers and only did because of this offer, so I guess i'm just back to not having them now, which is no big loss to be honest cos the venue has really nice chairs anyway!
  • God I could cry right now... I have asked the people to confirm they have received our cancellation request, however, which they have, but said that until they receive in writing how much we paid, they won't refund us the money.

I have had endless emails back and forth, they know exactly how much I have paid, and why I want to cancel, it has gone totally utterly beyond a joke and its left me so worn down that I could just cry. I am totally fed up of it all and how unhelpful some people can be.

They don't live far from my parents (where I am today) so I might just go round, hand them the request in writing and ask for my money back there and then. Just so so so fed up.

Oh god - this is the last thing you need! I think it was probably a big mistake us booking with this company. I myself also did and have yet to receive my receipt and confirmation.
