I finally got to collect all my Lush stuff, the kids have had a bath ballistic full of stars and sparkles, hubby is now on the lookout for one of those plug catcher thingies or I can see our plugs getting blocked by the time I get through all these goodies!

There's a few bits I'm not keen on, Christmas cake soap, smells nice but I find it a bit overpowering and I got 3 of them, I've given one to my dad he uses anything :rotfl: . I have 2 Happy shower gift boxes, would have been happy with just one to try it and I also have 2 let them eat cake lip balms which I wont use I ended up with a shimmy shimmy and a glitterbug which 2 of a similar thing will probably last me forever, but apart from that I'm very happy with the other stuff.

I like others am finding the Lush scent a little bit too much having so many different things so will put it all into separate bags later and leave a couple of bits out for now. :p
  • Ooh no, let them eat cake lip balm.

I stuck my little pot in my handbag and never thought anything else of it.

A week later I ran some errands, was in the bank and I couldn't help but be hit with this awful smell, like dirty old socks that'd been in a wash bin for a year (not that i'd know the exact smell, but i'm sure that's what it'd have smelt of). Anyway, spend a whole day being paranoid about this smell following me round then was in a shop and got my purse out only to smell it 100 times worse.

It was the lip balm. It'd stunk everything out and honestly it smelt gross. Had to throw it away as the smell just knocked me sick after that although it was lovely putting it on the lips.

As a new Lush customer, I've been enjoying trying their products thanks to the Xmas sale offer and then the Grab Bags.

Apart from one bad experience in a store, the staff are very helpful and the Customer Service team without fault.

However, googled for "Lush bath bomb" yesterday and came across this:-

Did some more searching and even on their own website, Lush are proud of their support for suspected terrorists:-

Well I'm not proud to be supporting terror suspects or Islamic fundamentalists and am amazed that Lush should ally itself with such people.

""Well I'm not proud to be supporting terror suspects or Islamic fundamentalists and am amazed that Lush should ally itself with such people.[/quote]""

This needs to be put in context the money from lush went to reprive who campaign for human rights. It is our right as a human being to be given a fair trial. If after a fair trial the terror SUSPECTS are found guilty then they would be punished.
I am not saying that all or any of the inmates at Guantanemo are innocent but we don't know if they are guilty either and a FAIR trial would have ended the controversy.

I am aslo concerned that this is going off topic in a big way and is a very emotive subject and not really MSE.

Does anyone know when these Grabit bag promo's run??

Is it just random or is it set times

got some earlier in the year used the short dated products and used the rest to make some nice birthday gifts

moneys a bit tight and I've got a few birthdays coming up and obviously christmas too these would have been ideal

I'm assuming its stock they can't shift from christmas that goes in them as i got loads of santa and christmassy stuff in mine

Would appreciate anyone giving me the heads up, Lush staff especially Glasgow ones if there's any promo's
