does anyone have any details on norwich store, regarding any offer, need to stock up (well not really lol) but will wait if theres a deal coming up/on tia.

No real offers but I did get this from their mailing - ok if you fancy a massage I suppose! Too late for the rolling of the dice though - did anyone on here win anything?

    Hello Friends of Lush Norwich!

Now the excitement of grab bags has passed I just thought I'd drop you a quick E-mail about a couple of things coming up in store before Valentines day.

Firstly This Saturday (7th) we will be getting or best togs on and have a pre-Valentines party. We have got some MASSIVE dice and everyone who comes in gets a free roll and anyone who gets a double 6 will get a free heart shaped Melting Marshmallow Moment!

Then on Wednesday (11th) San the lovely masseuse from the Complementary Health Care Clinic will be in store between 2pm and 5pm giving all our customers free professional massage.

There are also lots of new things in store to come and have a look at. The Love Soap and the Vanilla and Strawberry massage bars are now in as well as a lovely range of Valentines gifts.

    So, see you soon!

Thankyou for not complaining! although some grab-it bags were not all that, others were, and its worth noting that so that we know where is good/bad to visit next year when it happens again (and hopefully it will) along with pitfalls such as asking to see first or specify what products you don't want (eg in my case no bath bombs as I have no bath/only a shower).

I hope people don't complain, it could work against us shoppers- the only way they would change this offer in our benefit is to have each bag checked before sale or something, thus costing more staff and probably upping the price of them- please don't complain unless you are deeply unhappy (you have recieved significantly l;ess then £15 in a £15 grab it bag or something). It may get you an apology, but may also contribute to them stopping the offer- Lush pride themselves on their customer service, if they feel they are not doing a good job service wise, they are likely to stop what they are doing rather then risk their reputation on it.

I agree & it's also worth noting that it is all relative to the individual, for example I was really happy with my bags, really varied, but I have been swapping the things I didn't like for guess what.... Christmas cake soap, I loved it!!!

And I would've been thrilled to bits if I'd had a bag made up of entirely soaps because I love them, another man's tat... and all that!:rotfl:

So would I, so long as they were different soaps, even just two types would be fine!

Perhaps the shops will swap around next year and those of us with a bag full of £50 worth of beer jelly and christmas cake, or 8 of one bath bar will get the variety and those with the variety will get the glut bags.

Beer jelly is very nice though.
  • At the end of the day they're selling stuff for 70% off, you just don't know exactly what you're buying.

I think you have to remember this when buying grab bags. If there's a chance you wouldn't want just bath or just shower orientated than maybe it's best not to waste the money and buy it at xmas full price or sale if there is one. That way you still spend less but get exactly what you want.

It's true, it's all relative to the person opening the bag. They can't please everyone and they don't promise "variation" on the offer advert.

If a shop really does only have a few bits, and huge chunks of christmas cake soap and a million of one bath bomb then it would be better if they didn't do the offer in that store but sold the left over items in another manner.

Yup, I totally get that- but maybe ion this case, the lesson learnt is to check or ask next time- rather then rant at Lush, or even suggest this to Lush rather then rant at them- they generally do have great offers, and not every bag was "all soap" or "all bath bombs", and they did offer it, they didn't force anyone to buy anything...

Totally agree, I ran to get a bag when someone posted that they got a great one in Windsor, so was very disappointed with my 8 puds and one type of soap. I think common sense should have prevailed when making up the bags and saved the puds for the £5 ones. No one offered to swap either!!! :o

Well I think a Grab Bag is a Grab Bag and you basically pays yer money and takes a chance. I was a wee bit disappointed with mine but that's not because the stuff was totally not to my taste or it was a limited selection...it was because I was comparing it to the best of the bags listed here. I would have liked a bag stuffed to overflowing with gift sets and twinkly things to the value of £80+ in a £15 Grab Bag too. Wouldn't we all!!???!! It's like taking your wonderful new Christmas doll to show your best friend and finding she got a the same doll AND a pram and suddenly your precious beloved gift doesn't seem quite as great.

Maybe that's what they were left with. I know my local store had job lots of the same thing each time I visited. Each bag featured the same items but in smaller or greater quantities and on different days must've had deliveries as the items then changed to different bits but featuring in each bag again. It works out that the xmas stuff is round about 70% off but how many people would buy all those less attractive items even at 30% if that's all they had left. Hats off to Lush for bringing in grab bags especially in the present climate, they must still be doing well as it's such a great concept. :money:

In some posts it was proven that demand was higher than they could make up the bags, it must take a while to vary each one and get the figures about right in those circumstances especially if they had random quantities of each thing left. Also how can they possibly anticipate demand in each store. Some sold out much much quicker than others.

I think Lush should get their own back next year and fill the bags to the brim with xmas cake and snowcake soap, it'd serve everyone right:rotfl: :rotfl:

I think this may be why they didn't do an online offer this year.
Last year there were quite a few complaints about the Lush puds being broken in the post, Lush did send out other things as compensation to those who complained, naturally a few others decided to jump on the bandwagon and complain too. Last years online grab bags were really very good, lots of variety, probably because they had all the Christmas stock centrally so were able to give everyone a good mixture.
Personally I didn't see what the big deal was over a broken Lush pud, it was so huge that it had to be broken up for several baths anyway

I hope they decide to do the online offer again next year, I was quite disappointed about the lack of variety in my two identical bags this time.
  • Yesterday Leds had some £5 grab bags

    snowfairy shower gel 100ml
    snowdrop shower jelly 100g
    purple star shaped bath bomb
then either a lip balm or solid perfume.

I resisted but there may still be some left today.

They also had the big pink dice outside for the roll and win
