It applies well to CP, and a whole host of other limiting illnesses, I've been tempted to show it to my GP actually as they aren't being particularly understanding or helpful.

I don't think my sister has ever found a gp to be understanding or helpful...her doctor thinks she is a drain on resources.

Last week she went to a hospital to have her eyes tested (she has had a cornea graft on one eye and is waiting for one on the other). A friend took her but the was no car parking spaces. Her friend left her in reception and went back to try and find a parking space. 40 mins later the friend was still try to park and big sis was getting worked up because she was late for her appointment and she couldn't get to the eye place on her own.

she called a nurse over and asked for help twice and was brushed aside, then when her friend eventually came back big sis was given an ear bashing about being late and told that the consultant MIGHT see her.....

It takes so much effort to get to places like this for big sis and people frequently talk to her like she is !!!!!!. They would never speak to me like that and it upsets me...I wish I lived nearer to help her more..

right my printer bursts in to life just when I am giving up on doing anything else.
