u cant get an hourglass figure, u either are one or not, u look to me like u go in and out so maybe u are
i was a size 26 (much bigger than u are now) and i am now a size 12, yes it took time but theres no time like the present to start, then see how far u can get... i am proof it can be done and it can be maintained
go for it!!!

I have been a gym member for almost 10 years and i have done heaps of diets in the last 10 years.. i lost 5 stone back in 00/01 but over the years it has creeped back on and i'm now fatter than when i first started
Here is the problem. If you want to get slim and stay slim, a 'diet' is no good. You have to retrain yourself to say that exercise and the new things you eat (and things you don't) are going to be part of your life forever. If you want permanent results you have to change your lifestyle. Don't think of the word diet as a 'short term eating plan'. Diets work on the short term. You stop eating the bad things, loose loads of weight and think you've succeeded. Then you go back to eating what you used to and boom. You put the weight back on.
You can do all the exercise in the world, but if you still eat the wrong things, and too much of it, nothing will change.
It's not easy. And like I say, if you want long term results you need to change your lifestyle. Incorporate healthy eating and exercise into your everyday life so it just becomes the norm.
Good luck.

Only watched a minute or so but this is effectively interval training.
Basically, if you've used treadmills before you'll see that they have a fat burning grid and cardio grid based on a percentage of your theoretical maximum heart rate. Fat burn is 60/65% and cardio is 80%.
If you do a flat paced 10 minute run, chances are your heart rate will be at the fat burning rate. If you run fast for a minute your heart rate should be in the cardio zone. Then when you start walking/resting between runs you'll probably drop down to the fat burn zone. Run fast again, heart rate goes up. 5 minutes of that will be more effective than 10 minutes at a pace that only makes your heart beat in the fat burning zone.0 -
Seriously consider sessions with a personal trainer. Even if it's only once a month or so. They'll construct you a plan to maximise your time in the gym as aswell as keep you interested, advise you on diet, posture, motivate you.
I know they can be expensive but can you put a price on your health.

well as my sig says i have lost and maintained that loss with atkins
as southern says its not a diet its a change of eating for life,,, if u go back to how u ate before u will gain after all thats what got u fat in the first place
i have maintained for about 3yrs now other than i have gained about 6lbs after christmas but am workig to get them off now.... i cant run cos of my back so i do incline intervals on the treadmill with my weights and when it gets easier i increase the incline
i think u should stop worrying about what u should and shouldnt eat before/after training etc etc... just start doing some walking with weights (if u cant afford a gym) decide on a better way of eating (diet) and as u lose weight and the exercise gets easier up the levels bit by bit, thats what i did anyways and its worked for me
