Hotel With Hot Tub etc

I'm looking to have a long weekend away (abroad or UK) with the mrs.
I want a swanky room, one with Hot tub, champagne reception and all the frills.
Google doesn't really find anything helpful. So looking for recomendations of places people have stayed and been blown away.
We were going to go to the Ice Hotel in Sweden but due to credit crunch, to do it with all the trimmings would cost more than I'm prepared to spend this year so going to wait until next year and go all out.

Does it have to be a hotel with a hot tub, what about a self catering cottage with a hot tub - we've recently been to one in the Lakes and it was great - probably too far for you (tho you could fly to Manchester) but thought I'd post anyway for anyone else who happens to be looking here or in case you are up in that area ever

Your holiday likes sound similar to mine - i'm into hot tub hols and fancy going to the Ice Hotel too, tho my OH just laughs at me when I suggest it as I'm cold at home with the central heating full on.Thrifty Till 50 Then Spend Till the End
