But oooooh, I have a dilemma! I've just spotted a really, really, really, really - and then really - interesting permanent, civilian job on the local police website which would be really up my street! Researching and digging up dirt on people - just my forte! Only question is, can I afford to drop my income by two thirds?

no idea re the income but I have a quest for you if you do go for it..

Soappie - I would get the application form etc and be ready - you might know more by the end of the month...when would this start anyway - presumably not until March or maybe later...

  • Two hours of the inauguration has been interesting and surprisingly productive. Listened to it mostly but sat down with DS to see the actual swearing in - whilst trying hard to explain what was happening. Interesting speech too.

Large crockpot of mince cooking away with all the about to go off veg hidden inside.
Veg topping for cottage pies cooking.
Gnocchi underway - just finishing sauce before baking.
Freezer surprise for tea as DH out tonight.
Mr T delivery came and is put away.
Meals planned for next few days.
Agreement obtained for disposal of a couple of toys as well

Best finish my coffee and get on...

Congrats Mr Johanne; hugs A&Ws mum - tell your parents to call in for a cuppa if they are passing my place . . . . seriously . . . :)

    Thanks for OHs birthday wishes . . . it's mine today . . .

Was up early this morning - saw the Obama speech - very good!! Have flown through last nights dishes - they are now just waiting to be dried, wiped fridge and microwave, done one load of wash, folded two days worth of washing while watching Obama. Now off for a shower and then to work.

Piggers - What's the quest? I may be able to answer it for you now.

Valli - you're right - I'll do the 'informal phone call' and fill out the forms. Closing date, as said, 4/2, interview dates are TBA. No starting date given.

Soappie - that's a hard one. Could you manage if you went for it? Is it your dream job? Could you apply and turn the job down if you got it or would that look bad for future jobs? Why don't you do advantages/disadvantages list - that always helps me!! Good luck with whatever you! xx

Couldn't say it's my dream job but it's one I would love doing. Investigation with a view justice without having a gun or knife waved in my face all rolled into one...

An advantages/disadvantages list is a v. good idea. Thank you. I also need to sit down and really go through finances and see just what level of income I can live on.

    But enough!

Kitchen here I go - I may be some time!
