In bed again, wrecked, done tea and eaten and tidied away. May venture back of my bedroom in a mo.
...
Think it's painkiller time so I'll apologise now for the spelling mistakes.
(((((((hugs))))))) I think you should tell your family you're off sick, and let them fend for themselves for a bit (maybe Pigpen can come round and crack the whip to make sure they don't let things get into too much of a state). You need to rest in order to be able to heal (and cope with the pain), so the more rest you get the quicker you'll recover.
My brother & his fiancee loved the cake - and more importantly, have taken the rest of it away to inflict on their friends for opinions, so I haven't got sickly sticky stuff lurking round the house! We're going to make a few changes to it, so I expect I'll be doing another batch next month! And they need to decide whether they just want a pile of different coloured squares of cake, or a cake to cut, as they seem to be disagreeing... anyway, we've made a start!
Now I need to work out roughly how much I need for 80 people, to look for a supplier of organic chocolate who will do decent quality milk & white chocolate, and work out roughly how much it will cost (it'll certainly be a lot cheaper than some of the things I've seen while doing my research... they cost hundreds, if not thousands... I hope Polka has got her business up and running!)0 -

I think they know now I've disappeared.
Funnily enough I'd have proberly formerly BIBF (before I'd been flyladied) have used this as a great excuse to not do anything.;)
Trouble is I really want to do some clearing and decluttering. I am by nature a chaotic person, it suits me and its where I feel at home however I allowed the chaotic side to overwhelm every area of my life. This has then caused many problems and stress which was unnecessary really but hey you live and learn (only took me 40 years).
What I am learning is that family life runs a lot smoother when we get a little organised. We all join in usually, it's a snowball effect.
I use solution focussed methods in my work and my general outlook on life and it's really based on that premiss, do one thing different and others follow suit.
Saying that sometimes I do have to shout a lot though to get people moving, that also works.:rotfl:DFW Nerd 267. DEBT FREE 11.06.08

Im really glad that decluttering counts as I've had another day of flinging stuff out - you know, all the ancient mags and just-in-case catalogues .. It goes on and on. But less to clean round now!
Off to do veggies for roast now
Healing vibes to baby Tabitha0 -
Aww Triker. See that is why I try and avoid the dentist at all costs:p
Seriously though, I do hope it gets better sooner rather than later.
And to pigpen - I hope little one is ok.
As for flying today - well I've sorted out a load of stuff for ebay and stashed it away properly ready for listing. Plus because I've been going through this stuff over the last few weeks. The bread boxes on my wardrobes/units has whittled down from10 to 5;)
Then I had a soak in the bath with me Sue Grafton book. I'm on D is for Deadbeat now. Gradually working my way through the alphabet.
Hi ya Toots and greenbee - the cupboard novelty wore off eventually today. Though it has been well 'decorated' with snakes, people made from pipe cleaners and flowers made from tissue paper.
Anyone going to be watching Lost tonight?0 -
Yup. But you need to stand on a chair to stand over me, midget.:rotfl:

In our house spiders are our friends, we like 'em. Well I do and their webs.;)
The mental image I have of you trying to leap at anything makes me do this :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:DFW Nerd 267. DEBT FREE 11.06.08

Evening all,
Well since I last posted, I've done the food shop and completed everything off my list apart from packing my lunch for tomorrow. Just need to work on the remaining parts of pigpen's list. Which reminds me, I hope little Tabitha is better. Is there any more news yet pigpen?
My Mum came round for lunch and went up to see little black furry (cat) on the bed and didn't comment either way about the place being tidy or not. I hadn't managed to do all of the tidying that I'd planned to do before she came over as Mr T was absolutely packed (like it was at Christmas) so the shop took ages! I did manage to get lots of reduced bread again though, and as my Mum had asked me to make another bread and butter pudding, I made one this afternoon with the really old mincemeat I had left in the fridge from Christmas 2007. We had some this evening and it tasted nice. Will be taking the rest over to MIL's for dessert on Tuesday, so that'll mean I'm less likely to put on weight hopefully.
Well back to flying now then. Does anyone fancy a HHC 6pm-6.30? I've got loads to do and I expect that pigpen will put the new thread up soon and I want to have finished last week's list before next week is put up. OH is going to have a nap before he's off to shooting club, so had best get the hoovering done whilst he's in the shower now.
See anyone who wants to join me in my HHC at 6.30pm.

~Gulp~ I've done the figures for my tax return. I'm just going in now - wish me luck ladies, I think this may hurt!
I hope it wasn't too painful??
And I must do my accounts and tax return too - if the hot unhappy limpet can be persuaded to cling elsewhere...
MoamAlthough no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending.... life is a WIP.
