Toots - number 1!
Welcome new people!I am the leading lady in the movie of my life

Taken painkillers but have managed to
wiped kitchen table down
put last nights tea stuff, breakfast and tonights tea stuff away
Tidied some deliveries away
Taken dirty washing out of our bedroom into bathroom
hoovered front room and a bit of the floor in hall and dining room
hung up numerous bags that were shoved in a corner and put them in a cupboard
Put some kitchen things away
Started to be honest about how much stuff in our home is unused and surplus to our requirements.
For instance we have a huge bookshelf nearly ceiling height full of books and magazines we do not look at or read.
Videos that we do not watch.
Clothes that DO NOT FIT ME AND NEVEER WILL (I'm shouting at myself here)
Pictures and frames which are not hung on the wall just stacked in corners, ditto with mirrors
Board games we never play.
Drawers of paper, letters and other bits and pieces.
Too many motorbikes, too many vehicles.
Cards....what do I do with all these cards, many from OH for anniversaries and stuff and the kids, but they are cluttering up drawers.:o
I need to concentrate on working out how to tackle all off this. I feel it's essential because really its holding us back on having a home and moving forward.DFW Nerd 267. DEBT FREE 11.06.08

Triker I've hit that stage too - I'm a bit too sentimental with some stuff eg I find it hard to pass on postman pat videos that DS1 used to love even though DS3 is too old for them. I've got some large storage boxes in the loft which are memory boxes for each child (although they seem a bit muddled at the moment) and I'm trying hard to only keep a few treasured things. Cards - I have a pretty hat box on top of the wardrobe with them in but often wonder why as I never look at them but can't throw them away either. Kids pictures I have piles of but they are now in 3 separate piles and I plan to go through stick the best in scrap books and loose the rest. Books I tend to get from the library now and most of the ones I have are more reference.
I find I'm best to sort stuff when I'm in the right 'clear it' mood otherwise I don't make much progress. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
