Pigpen many congratulations to you, your sis and your brother in law. Tabitha, what a cute name, one I haven't heard for years. She's so cute isn't she! Cleaner sounds like a great idea, wish I wasn't a) a person who wouldn't allow them in the house without tidying/cleaning b) I'm too tight
Tia, she's still honourary granny!
hex, the thought of a neighbour popping in would get me to do it!
Sunnygirl many positive ones for your SIL.
Mudbath that **just edited as was going to say it sounds like a large admin error** well done to your DH, or whoever the imposter is!
Soappie I spoke to an ex SS worker for the elderly today, she said she would go for the speak to the GP route first too
I've had meeting then had to go to DPs Grandma's to drop her birtday presents off. I've bunged 2 washer loads in, one is in the TD now, filled the DW and vacuumed, oh and cleared a massive pile of DPs junk. So not a lot done this week but has been a VERY manic week meetings wise. I've got every intention of a catch up weekend aswell as setting out my study schedule. One day I might be more organised...........

Pigpen - Well done to your Sis and BIL and welcome to Tabitha. She really is a special little girl and I hope you get to see and cuddle her soon.
On the flying front - 2 x WM and tea cooked and now I'm having a few minutes peace before I have to pick up Ashia (on second thoughts I'll chill a bit longer and send OH)
Hope everyone has a good weekend.0 -
Evening all
Skipsmum - hugs to you.
Pigpen - congratulations to you all! Tabitha - what a lovely name! And how beautiful she is. I got to have a go with a 7 month old who popped into the office with his Mum today. I'd forgotten how lovely it is to hold a young one and have a good cuddle. Amd DS1 moving out - that's a big milestone in your life. my DS moved out and I felt very bereft. However, after 3 months, he was asking if he could move back in again. I think he had realised how nice it was at home after all! And well done on the cleaner!
Mudders - well done on your pre op walk! And I hope the case of the mysterious multiple direct debits is sorted soon. And well done for educating DH re the finances!
EmilyJ - are you all settled into your new home now or is there stacks of unpacking left to do?
Dusty - when's DH due back?
Crafty - hugs about the teeth
Sunnygirl - sending your SiL positive vibes
Summermoon - hugs to you. Hope you feel less p*d off and more cheerful soon.
Johanne - hugs love - but how nice the little one is actually crawling! Remember to move things up another level so she can't reach
Toots - take it easy love - don't burn yourself out.
Rach - well done on your presentation - glad you had a better day and work and fingers crossed for the new career for you!
I have done little flying, it being gin and gossip night. I did S&S the kitchen and cleared the hotspot on the table before NN came round (we sit and chew the fat at the kitchen table).
She was less stressed than last night but was still clearly down. Prodding a little, it turns out yesterday was the anniversary of her husband's death (back in 1982 - about 10 years before I met her). I let her talk, gently prompting etc.. Then, on an impulse, invited her to dinner tomorrow night.
Her whole face lit up and she accepted straight away with great thanks. I think she's feeling lonelier than she's let on. She has her son and dil reasonably local but I think she doesn't like to let them know when she's down or anything. So, I now need to plan a meal for tomorrow night rather than throw something together. I know she likes game so I may just go and find some pheasant...
There, that's my good deed for the day. I now need to go and sort out some lasagne for tonight's dinner. The mince has been cooking on low for about an hour!I am the leading lady in the movie of my life

Blimey - what is happening with the dressing of this site? Whenever I refresh, I seem to have a different colour mode!
Why, if something's not broke and people are happy with it do the powers that be decide to change things? I despair...

Judo done so just brewing a cuppa before I finish clearing up from tea.
Soappie - DH is back Sunday sometime (can't remember when) it will be really odd to have him back. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Pigpen - my DS moved out and I felt very bereft. However, after 3 months, he was asking if he could move back in again. I think he had realised how nice it was at home after all! And well done on the cleaner!
Well DS will be in for a shock if he wants to come back.. is room has already been spoken for!! DD2 is going in there after I have had the door and window repaired and decorated it.. and got a new carpet and bed!
Another load in the WM
Another load folded.. and some socks paired
Another load in the TD
DD1 has been commanded to load the DW.. it has already been on 4 times today in an attempt to catch up.
I am somewhat on a roll today getting stuff done.. and thrown out.
I found 2 brand new shower curtains while flinging in my bedsty..and some new school trousers for DD2. DS2 needs some new trousers too.. his are gradually sliding up his legs!!
DD4 has eventually found her shoes as well.. she has been wearing trainers all week after she hid her shoes thinking I was daft enough to let her wear her boots to school. Today she was complaining her back was hurting so I told her it was because she hasn't been wearing her insoles.. miraculously the shoes reappear!! aww Soappie what a lovely thing to do for your neighbour.
Crafty hope you're sorted soon peggy wise (I just remembered pegs is slang for teeth :rotfl:)
Managed to get my washing in before the heavens opened so most of it is ironed and airing off:D
Seem to have no takers for the school shirts so shall fling them in the charity bag and take it to town tomorrow. I have also flung some of DSs shorts but he has outgrown them too. He has two wardrobes, loads of drawers so clothes tend not to get sorted through...think a plan of action needs to be drawn up...
Also going to the charity shop tomorrow unless I get a shout
A pair of NEW (but tried on) cycling gloves for a boy - too small for DS would probably suit10/11 yo black palm, grey back with a plastic vented bit (full gloves not fingerless)

I have managed to do some stuff.
Made some bread
Fed cat
Fed the chickens
Brought the bin in from the ten foot.
Emptied and disinfected the kitchen bin.
Made the bed.
Not a brilliant list but I'm quite chuffed.
Pain wise best day so far. Not yet taken pain killers.
Went out to check my bank account and ending up getting my hair done. Went in to make an appointment but they could see me there and then so got it cut and redone, feel loads better now, was feeling drab and grey before.

I've done some more chucking out but the house is in need of some more decluttering. I can't do anything over the weekend because of my course but I'm going to declutter 60 things an hour on Monday....anyone else up for my challenge (don't forget a piece of paper = one thing! as does something put in it's right place.
Tootles - you're a very naughty person. I just had to google yankee tarts after i'd replied to you and found some at 15% off, then I told DH I wanted to do valentines gifts this year (we usually just cook a nice meal), he paniced, I suggested yankee tarts and he asked me to order some:rotfl: . Just as well as I had them in a shopping basket as he said it....I love it when a plan comes togetherxx
