Today was going so well right up until I encountered an out of order notice on a toilet door. Why is it no one ever thinks to mention these things and its always the very last thing you come across just as you're walkiing out the door. The mystery sign writer had helpfully locked the door to prevent anyone using it or me opening it. Still one pair of pliers later I opened the door and have regretted it ever since. Still I can at least impart a handy household hint. Should you ever be unfortunate enough to discover an entirely blocked toilet it is possible to unblock it using a mop. Insert plunger style and pull vigourously up and down until all the water has gone and it starts making slurpy noises continue until you haven't got the strength to move the mop at which point you should have sufficient suctiony force in place to clear the blockage. All you have to do is extract the mop and then flush the toilet and keep your fingers crossed. In desperation (as was the case today) repeat this process inserting the relevant swear words and eventually the blockage will give way.
Todays mystery object was later identified as being an entire toilet roll. Lovely.
OH is out for the evening so I'm planning to write a few DooYoos and read a chunk of a book. Lifes so exciting. Unfortunately the entire master plan depends on the DDs going to bed and more importantly staying there.Saving for a Spinning Wheel and other random splurges : £183.500 -
One rambling waffly DooYoo written on fleas. Next stop headlice. Only not tonight. I can't be arsed to do any more. I have cleared five bags of books from the book case. Ho Hum. Off to plonk my nose in a book for the remainder of the evening.Saving for a Spinning Wheel and other random splurges : £183.500

Of course I meant a review on headlice. I wouldn't be delaying the mass slaughter of several thousand wee beasties if the DDs had a real infestation *shudders at the thought* I wouldn' have been able to sleep for itching on the off chance the entire house was jumping with them. Twas bad enough the day we first looked round here when I convinced myself that the entire house was flea ridden and insisted on de fleaing OH going as far as to smother his chest hair and wot not in whiffy chemical slop on the off chance they'd made it where no louse had dared to go. I have been slightly more rational on subsequent occassions. But only slightly.Saving for a Spinning Wheel and other random splurges : £183.500

Headlice review #1 done. 20p won on the scratchcards and £5 worth of free bingo tickets purchased. Five minutes of peace left before the madness starts and DD1 is turfed from her pit.
DD2 is watching Numberjacks on the telly box. I may well be reviewing that later my inspiration appears to have left me. Still only ten reviews to go to the next payout. Hopefully I'll get there by the begining of next week. Will have DD1 at home again today which will curtail what I do although I may put her to good use and get her to talk me through some of the many thousand tv programmes she watched yesterday so I can review them.Saving for a Spinning Wheel and other random splurges : £183.500 -
Another DooYoo done. 8 more to payout. £15 won on free bingo. Have to wait 5 minutes before I can withdraw. Time to make a start on the housework. Oh joy.
Begining to think my boss is avoiding me. No matter keep leaving noteson his chair. Yesterdays was to say that I came across 2 rotten window frames whilst doing the roof inspection ... that'll be £400+ then. Todays was to point out the demise of 3 roof slates exposing the unfelted roof void of the listed part of the school and another dozen or so broken slates that could do with replacing at the same time. The slates are like rocking horse manure. I can see that particular bill being another £500 or so. Perhpas its no wonder hes avoiding me.Saving for a Spinning Wheel and other random splurges : £183.500
