I had to read that about 3 times to makes sure I understood it!

Had a bout of temporary insanity yesterday and have agreed to go to my parents for Christmas for the first time in over a decade. What was I thinking?
Normality has resumed. 30p on the scratchcards. One rambling DooYoo written taking me to 118 reviews and £80. Its 46 days to Christmas and my paprents would like to know what everyone would like by December 1st. I'm clueless. The DDs are clueless but OH has an enormously long wish list most of which I wouldn't give shelf space to. Wheelchair racing grannies indeed. The boy already has two Scalectrix sets.
Hes of work again today so hopefully the rain will hold off and I can turf him outside to do something useful. Hes off to Screwfix first though for nuts and bolts. I bet he buys a lot more than that.
Having spent a week tidying and turfing out the house looks an awful lot tidier. Not tidy enough that its tidy tidy but infinately better than it was. Will be continuing with that this week. Walking into a tidy house is considerably less depresing that walking in to a heap of stuff to do that makes you feel pants.Saving for a Spinning Wheel and other random splurges : £183.500 -
Uh oh Moo has gone AWOLMFW - We've only gone and blooming done it!May 2013:j0

Nah not awol, just suffering the curse of the OH with a boss who changes his mind erratically. OH should be working but isn't as his boss is attempting to prove how macho he is by dong the work of a thousand men with four broken ribs. OH is doing tonights late night instead meaning another juggling act as I attempt to be in two places at once. Still at least he still has a job.
In other exciting news its now three weeks to the school X-mas concerts. Song lists went out yesterday. Its complete carnage. Turns out several members of the school orchestra can't sight read music. I forsee a crash course there. Final performance is the same day as the school Christmas Fair. Potential disaster in the making and in between now and then the buidres start. Its all good fun. This weeks project involves dismantling a greenhouse without damaging it so it can be moved to a corner of the school field.
COmpletely lost the plot as far as the finances go. Haven't spent much on food or anything else recently. Went into Chester with OH yesterday in the hopes inspiration would hit. It didn't. Blew my Gap vouchers on DD2s birthday present and then splurged in La Senza on 2 pairs of £30 winter PJs for me for a mere £20. OH was not impressed. Perhaps if he didn't hog the duvet so much or the house was considerably warmer I'd have been tempted with a lacy nylon baby doll style neglige. Did I mention I'd need to be screamingly drunk to purchase one in the first place?
Haven't quite got the hang of this tidying malarky. Ended up wiith more books than I'm getting rid of thanks to someone elses clearout. I could hardly say no when presented with an enormous bag of very recent books. Lots of reading for me, houseworks going to be very sporadic for a while.
Managed to keep up with the DooYoos (although I haven't done any today) now up to 120 review, 3 crowns and £83 worth of points. £17 to the next payout. Have decided to splurge and get the DDs a DS each for X-mas so am on the hunt for super duper cheap ones with huge amounts of cash back. Haven't come up with any for under £90 including P&P yet but I've got plenty of time to wave a magic wand.
Slightly more scarily eldest DD announced that she has a school swimming lesson tomorrow and presented me with a form to sign and the money to pay for it from her pocket money. Shes definately got the hang of this money malarky. Perhaps one day she could explain it to me. Still its payday on Friday. Current account has beewn bouncingin and out of the red for the past two weeks. Suppose nows as good a time as any to tot up what I've spent.Saving for a Spinning Wheel and other random splurges : £183.500 -
Things go from marginally bonkers to downright ridiculous. OH has lots of holiday to use up and has requested a week off in the not too distant future. Boss couldn't be arsed to tell him to his face but has instead penned him off for 4 of the 5 days and in for overtime the day after that. The guy wants a sodding break from work and it would be so very nice to ask him if he wants to work overtime on his return or even if there was a reason he wanted the 5th day off in the first place. But no OHs boss is off down south on a course and OH is required to work in his absence. Mutter mutter.
Yestrday was just one of those days. I'm suffering from bleughness. Its not quite a cold but I've got a sore throat and generally can't be arsed with anything much. The PC keeps crashing which is most infuriating. Still I did spend yesterday BBQing in the garden. Would have been a rather pleasant way to spend a day had any of it been edible. Instead it turns out that a party size coal filled BBQ is the perfect way to split seized joints and remove rubber thingies from a geriatric Land Rover. Send the men in straight jackets in my direction asap. I spent yesteday BBQing Land Rover parts. I doubt the rest of the week can get any wierder. Still it did the trick and I now have even more dismantled bits to get confused with.
Managed to squeeze everything that needed doing in yesterday evening but by the time we got home at 7:15 DD2 was truly obnoxious. All down to being overtired. Problem is tonight is schools Beetle Drive and whilt OH and I would happily avoid it like a plague of underwear bound pubic lice the DDs both want to go. I'm not going to be popular when I send them to bed early instead.
Plans for today revolve around the ability to find some energy to do something. Didn't DooYoo yesterday and have only done one so far this morning. Just not in the right frame of mind for it. Still I did read Patrica Cornwells dullest ever novel "The Front" so it wasn't a completely wasted day.
In an ideal world I'd like to do yesterdays washing up and some laundry and some tidying and take the parcel that I've been driving about for the past 4 days to the Post Office and I could do with sticking some fuel in the car. Slapped a fiver in at the villages extremely overpriced Texaco to extinguish the red light a couple of days ago but thats not really made much difference to the petrol guage. Still its payday on Friday. I'm sure I can eek it out until them.Saving for a Spinning Wheel and other random splurges : £183.500 -
Whoo hoo its payday! Another wodge of cash has been flung in the direction of the debt. Its going down steadily.
Finally got round to posting the Music Magpie CDs. Didn't really achieve much else. Still feeling bleugh. OH has phoned in sick today. Its lurgi central.
The DDS riding school is flooded so we're up super early on Saturday for a hack around the village instead. They're super duper excited. Horses get excercise, they're out twice as long as normal and it costs me half the usual price. Happy people all round.
Didn't go to last nights beetle drive at school. Feeling marginally guilty about it. When I left there were only 15 people there which is truly abysmal for a school fundraiser. My two were two tired and went to bed early without complaint.
£14 to go to the next DooYoo payout. Not in the mood to write any reviews though. I did three yesterday. Won't get chance to do any today as the OH will be muttering about the amount of time I spend on the PC as opposed to doing housework. Can't think why.
That all sounds so negative. Its not. I'm doing things slowly. All the charitable tat went to school yesterday for the x-mas fayre. A bag of unwanted donor clothes went to someone elses bag2school collection and I'll have earnt brownie points with the infant department for retrieving nativity costumes from the loft. These will be swiftly wiped out upon the arrival of the junior classromm support people who can't get near their tables for the 50 or so bin bags I heaped on them last night. Seemed like a good opportunity for a major sort out. I'm sure theres tons of tat in the loft that can be disposed of so I'll be spending today disposing away.Saving for a Spinning Wheel and other random splurges : £183.500 -
I had a sleep deprived night thanks to howling gales and lashing winds. One of the local barns gave up the ghost ovenight collapsing in a mass of twisted squealing metal. Gave up trying to sleep in the end. Fortunately the raian held off for the duration of the DDs hack. Not that it mattered I was soaked by the time we'd finished. The water was over my boots within the first half mile resulting in a very squelchy walk finished with a wade through thigh deep water. I was rather glad to get home, leap into the shower and don thermal pjs. All this excitement before lunch too. Unsurprisingly plans for the remainder of the day do not involve leaving the house. OH is home from work already and dozing on the sofa. DDs are chowing their way through anything and everything. I was attempting to write a snotty letter to the people at Asda Credit card who charged me interest on a cleared acount due to a technical glitch but failed to recredit it. Hvae asked them most politely to "reimburse out of pocket expenses incurred as a result of their incompetance". Bet they just recredit the interest. Still theres no harm in trying.
Off to shovel more chow into the DDs who are experimenting with cheese on toast a la microwave.Saving for a Spinning Wheel and other random splurges : £183.500 -
Simple things please simple minds and so today people of t'internet my excitement lies in the discovery that I am a celebrated DooYooer of the week. I'm still a totally disrganised random barking person but that pales into significance along side the fact that some complete stranger doesn't think I've lost my marbles entirely. I was beginning to wonder.
Whilst I'm on a roll I've rambled away and done another 2 reviews taking me to 127. A little over £11 to payout. Will attempt to get another couple done today in and amogst everything else.
Have fruit for 2 cakes soaking, will do a batch of buns for lunchboxes whilst the ovens on and perhaps some twinks hobnobs in an attempt to regain a little of the wieght thats sliding off again. A whole chicken and a pork joint are defrosting ready for roasting for dinner and slicing for lunches and the freezer. In and amongst I'm going to stick everything that lurks beneath the computer desk on flea bay to take advantage of todays free listing day. Also need to do some washing and some ironing and some vacuuming and some tidying and I need to persuade the DDs to do their homework and tidy their rooms. Then I need to work out how the heck to make a hexagonal tombola drum and whip up one small and one large on by the first week of December. My woodworks not good, its not even mediocre and I can't find any plans anywhere on the internet, well appart from one written by a super nerd which starts "simply" and then mention thousands of pounds worth of specialist sheet metal folding equipment. I'm not panicking. Not yet any way.Saving for a Spinning Wheel and other random splurges : £183.500 -

Good luck with that one Moo!
In the meantime cane I come round for dinner & cake?:rotfl:

I doubt there will be enough cake mix left to bung in the oven at this rate. It sounds disgusting but at this stage its plump fruit soaked over night in cold tea and sugar and the DDs keep helping themselves to handfuls of it.Saving for a Spinning Wheel and other random splurges : £183.500
