I see why you thought of Renault - I was at the Tewksbury auction, last week & there were LOADS there - guess the local distributors are able to shift them, better than other areas!!

There isn't a Motability sale, on your doorstep, so Birmingham, or Blackbushe (Surrey) might be the place to look.

You can check stock availability by cliking the http://www.honestjohn.co.uk link & then in the left hand links menu auctionview. This is the database for ALL UK entries, to BritishCarAuctions & you search for models/sales/venues. It does have a (small) fee, but saves lots fone calls, wasted petrol & journeys. Also the HJ site has plenty hints n tips on EVERYTHING motoring, as previously mentioned.

http://www.manheimeurope.co.uk has Motability sales, also, but no search facility, for non-account customers.

    Hope it helps!!

  • My husband bought an A6 for work(after having company cars)and had nothing but trouble with it .It drank oil (the expensive type!) and was always in the garage(Audi charge a fortune). He has now sold it at a great loss - no dealers were interested .

By the way , I drive a Citroen Picasso, which my husband and most German car lovers hate, but I have had it for over 5 years and it has never gone wrong - I can get my 3 children in it easily and guess whose car is always used if we have to go to the dump or pick up furniture!!?

Depends what attributes you value in a car really. I've found that old BMs offer what I want for a good price, you've found that the Picasso offers what you want. I'm not a particular fan of Audi myself. Personally I want a certain level of driver involvement so I can entertain myself in the process of getting from A to B.
