I second the option about RWD :T:T

Meh. 4wd is the way to go (with 4-wheel steering ideally).

Why do things by halves? RWD is still not ideal.

The Audi is the better car hands down ... BUT you have to consider that it will cost more at the pumps, more to service, and more to insure ... which is part of they reason why most people drive Fords and Vauxhalls as opposed to driving around in BMWs, Mercs and Audis.

  • The Audi will probably depreciate lower too and might be eeasier to sell in the future.

There are two nearly identical threads.

4wd is called "double wrong wheel drive". Fine if you want grip, but not so good if you want low speed edutainment.

I'd wouldn't worry about the mileage on the audi, these engines are good for 200k+ if well looked after, where else the renault would be on it's last legs by 200k, plus the audi will keep it's vaule for longer.
Plus what looks better in the driveway, a renault shopping wagon or a nice sportty audi??

I've managed 10 years and around 300,000 miles on cars that all started with more than 90K on them.
