Staples - 26" LCD TV/MONITOR 16ms/DVI £299

The split screen feature has been very usefull in our household when we get a clash of interests either schedule or console gaming wise!
Also had the 2 prong power plug with mine. I hav'nt had to re-enter the remote code into my tivo or sky remote to control this set - my last tv being a philips so I wonder if that helps identifying the internals of this lcd?
Cheers

twe wrote:not got one yet but am looking.... they are quite expensive at richersounds.... i saw one for £25 in my local asda store, with an arm to swivel the screen.... but not too sure yet, let me know if u find a good deal somewhere....
also did u get a 2 pin european plug with the screen and did u ask for a british one or had a spare lying around? just thought it was by law to provide a british plug if the item is being sold within the uk and the business is within the uk...
£25 doesn't sound too bad for a bracket from what I've seen on line. Getting my TV today as a friend picked it up from me in Norwich, so don't know about the 2 pin plug thing yet!!
Can anyone tell me what size I need for the bracket (I believe there are different standards?) and also the weight of the TV as that governs what brackets are suitable too!!

Mine came from Norwich and had a 3-pin cable chucked in separately in there as well as the 2-pin in the bag full of bits... it's a standard "figure-8" lead as you might find on a mini hifi or VCR. (By the way, it IS the law to supply a UK plug - must be an oversight).errolevans wrote:£25 doesn't sound too bad for a bracket from what I've seen on line. Thanks, Mark.
Weight: it's quite light, about 12kg.
Do let me know which bracket you guys manage to fix it up with... toying with the idea of mounting it... just hoping my laptop can do the 1280x768 now!The thanks button is here to the right. thanks for the info godspeed..... but let me know if u guys find one with a swivel arm... since i am going to have my gym equipment in the same room so i can watch tv and exercise at the same time by swiveling the screen

oh yeh hope you guys got the free business rewards card and got points on it, you meant to get 5% back so u can spend that in store.....
will let them know that they have to provide me with a british standard cable.... luckily i had 1 spare round the house, but the one they give i will keep that as a spare for the future..... fingers crossed they can get me another screen or reduce this one in price for me.....0 -
If only I'd known about the business rewards card!
Never mind... didn't notice any standard VESA holes on there but it was late when I was setting it up. I note there's no VESA mentioned in the PDF manual either. The thanks button is here to the right. Asda are supposed to do ones like this for £24:

Which is handy for a high-street retailer. After measuring the rear of the panel then a vesa 100/100 would fit but would be offset unlike a 200/100.
You'll have to post your contrast/brightness settings after you've fiddled around with your setups so we can get a comparison

yeh godspeed thats the one i think i saw but for £24.97 or so..... will have to take a closer look at it as my asda store is not that far away..... i also bought some speaker brackets from there for £5, comes with 5 brackets for your wall to hang your surround sound kit.... think that was a good price as well.... holds up to 2kg per speaker....0

OK those must be the holes showing in the manual.
I'd be wary of putting on a 100/100 mount because it will be off-balance and would most likely sit at a slight angle too by twisting the arm
Could do with a vertical tilt too... to angle it downwards slightly. The thanks button is here to the right. If you find a post saves you money, gives you useful information, or you agree with it, take a second to thank the poster!
