I called 6 stores, all had them out of stock, the lady said it was wiped from the system which is why they are getting rid of them.... however I was able to order 1 lcd screen to my local store and they will send it from another store that has it in stock [no extra cost to deliver from 1 store to another]....0 -
got mine today, delivered to my local staples from norwich staples... tried it with the computer and my xbox and i have to say the picture quality is better than i expected and will look great in my new room hanging off the wall.... well worth the £300... even better i got £30 off for using my NUS card.... although i bought the apc battery/surge protector for £27 [after NUS discount]... thought that was a great price and useful when we get powercuts, etc in the area....
and no it does not support true HD... you got to look at the more expensive lcds for that....0 -

not got one yet but am looking.... they are quite expensive at richersounds.... i saw one for £25 in my local asda store, with an arm to swivel the screen.... but not too sure yet, let me know if u find a good deal somewhere....
also did u get a 2 pin european plug with the screen and did u ask for a british one or had a spare lying around? just thought it was by law to provide a british plug if the item is being sold within the uk and the business is within the uk...0 -

I got a 2-pin plug with mine. I went back and they gave me a Belkin branded UK plug. I too thought it was law to provide a UK plug with electrical items, but since they gave me one I didn't bother to check it out.

yeh i asked and they said no you just have to buy one..... i am going to check this out and ask again once they contact me due to a few stuck/dead pixels on the screen, see if they can get me another one or reduce this one for me even more since its not too much of a big deal from the distance i will be sitting from the screen.....0

Picked the one I ordered over from Norwich as a pressie for the Mrs this evening... they'd put 3 pin cable in as it happens. Not really played around with it yet but looks OK response time shows up a little slow with Toy Story (might just need to turn off the noise reduction) and weird thin black band at the bottom with 16:9 DVD.lee__48 wrote:I got a 2-pin plug with mine. Will setup over weekend but must say for the money it's pretty impressive, and the sound is not bad either for the bedroom. Thanks to the OP! :money:
Refused to give a student discount on this (we tried!) - said it fell into high-value items/monitor territory so excluded... poster above v.lucky!!!The thanks button is here to the right.
