I give up, sounds good if you can get one.Listen to what people say, but watch what people what people do!!0

yes they are a bit dumb.... i called 6 different stores... in the end i was able to call my local store and get them to call the norwich store that has some in stock... its free to get the item delivered from one store to another.... so i just have to wait till sometime next week to pick mine up....0

I looked at a 30inch one in the Norwich store today. Good price, but you can see why it's cheap.
The quality really wasn't very good. Whites and lighter colours were totally washed out - no detail at all. As you might expect also, the whole package felt cheap.
I need 1 or 2 new TVs for my business, but I need a much better picture than these are able to deliver.0 -

I couldn't get a widescreen resolution, but 1024 x 768 was excellent through the DVI connection. With the VGA connection there was a blurred line from the top of the screen to the bottom. I've noticed this with several monitor/TVs I've purchased.

odd fellow did u try to customise the colours/brightness on either the pc or lcd screen? If not then that could have been the problem [i.e. not setup correctly by the staff - like most stores]...
anyone else got one of these, want your opinions and how u connected it up, etc...0 -
here is a brief review of this lcd screen...
http://www.de.tomshardware.com/display/20051004/lcd_tv-09.html
its in german but just use an online translator and there are 3 pages....
odd fellow the review says that the 26" version has better picture quality than the 30" version it reviewed [might be same model that you saw]....?
also it did say it was good as a computer monitor... this will be my main use of the screen so no worries for me there....
and here is the manual to the lcd screen...

Yes you can't take this out the box and use the pre-set options (soft/natural/rich) for picture settings - they are not very good at all. I used the 'USER' setting so you can then manually adjust the brightness/contrast/colour.
I then turned off 'noise reduction' as it left a terrible trail on the screen after movement. I also tweaked the setting on the sky box for contrast to match in with the settings i'd stored.
I'm not some hardcore videophile but I would'n t be able sit infront of this set and have to put up with a load of psychedelic lego for a picture and can honestly say I am mightily impressed with the image quality - and I hav'nt even hooked it up to a VGA or DVI source yet!
As I got the discount then I won't of splashed out the same as others spending £299 for this but other options I looked at were all £349-£400 without even half the spec.
I've had my old philips 28" CRT sat next to this for comparison and was execting a huge gap in PQ but it was smaller than expected.
AS long as you realise that your in the entry level ball park with this then you'll be fine. Speakers are poor, but then I go through an amp and seperate speakers anyway. It looks dull and not very expensive but that would be falling into the moon on a stick category

Admitedly, I didn't play with it too much. Had a quick go, but they were just running a slide show on it from a PC so impossible to guage what movement was like and, of course, there was no sound.
Maybe I didn't give it enough of a look and simply went on first impressions.
Perhaps I'll trip back tomorrow with a couple of DVDs and pop those into the PC!0 -
There is no obvious sku number on the reciept unlike the dsg group of stores. As the 20% discount had to be applied manually the reciept seems a bit all over the place.
The barcode he scanned to get the product info up on the till had the following number below it and is on the reciept:
8690842079016
Item description is: ***PHOCUS COLOUR LCD TV 2
