Wow you either go to bed early or you really ought to address that promptly, that will do no good for yourself, your marriage or your 3 year old.

on a lighter note this might be of interest to new and veteran runners alike Cola

I know and I understand where you are coming from but the only issue really is its not good for my 3 year old the other are ok we have learned to accept it for now!!

He is starting nursery in September so we have to get into gear to get him to bed earlier!!

Take it easy Becky...have you had your results back or are you just feeling much better?

No results yet (well they are there at the hospital but mess up means not at the gps - I'll sort it tomorrow) feeling better though (but not completely recovered if you get me) - hoping a gentle run might kick me into touch :D

Wow, it's quiet on here tonight.

Hope you are feeling up to a run later Becky; don't go overdoing it though :D

Hmmm, Uk - 2 marathons in 7 weeks now that sounds like a challenge!! Can you imagine attempting that :eek:

I've had to shuffle my training plan around this week so it was a hill run for me tonight instead of fartlek. My least favourite route - 4 miles home from work (uphill most of the way, long steep bridge and loads of traffic) 00:40:34 (10:03/mile). Looks like I'll be needing to run the same route tomorrow too - oh well, it's good for strengthening my legs!!

    How's everyone else doing today???

Well, if ploddinghippo on fetch can do 100...nothing should stop Ukevas...

Simply I wish i could run to work and back but I haven't quite worked out how to get a year old to the child minders first...

Results are in for my weekend 10k and it was 65:35 so better than I thought.

    Week 5/21 (Fleetwood)

    (Totals: 8000m(5 Miles) 30:20 (6:04/mile) + 3 Miles WU/WD)

Another session of solid progress so pleased with the way that went.:D Not much sign of Sunday's 21 miler in the legs either which bodes well for speed of recovery.

The 8000m sessions so far have gone:

    21/4 20x400m: Total 8000m(5miles) 29:37 (5:55/mile)
    23/4 10x800m: Total 8000m(5miles) 32:22 (6:28/mile)
    12/5 5x1600m: Total 8000m(5miles) 31:53 (6:22/mile)
    14/5 20x400m: Total 8000m(5miles) 27:45 (5:33/mile)
    19/5 10x800m: Total 8000m(5miles) 30:20 (6:04/mile)

Good work, Simply - you'll be surprised at the cumulative effect of those type of runs. You'll get to the point where the hills don't bother you at all when your legs are used to doing them.:D

Sammy - Considering the hills in that 10K its probably not that big a leap to 60 minutes on a flat course.

UK - Another good distance session there. Just a little puzzled how the fastest pace is on the warm down?
