Reminds me of my older nephew who ate tuna happily until he found out it was a fish then suddenly didn't like it anymore. My mother and sister were insisting I don't say tuna is a fish but I told them he will look like a complete fool unless you tell him the truth when he is trying to convince all the other kids at school tuna was an animal. I never understand why people lie to children it will just make them not trust you in future.Weekly Spend Challenge: £0/£30

F_F I have always wondered what goes in brioche is it just sweet bread?
Ladymay what were you doing in the library until 2am or dare I not ask?
Ahhhh, I'm in final year, assignment due in today so doing the last little fiddly bits - I just didn't realise how long they would take! Plus the uni library late at night is quite entertaining - oh the things I've seen...;)
Back to the money situation lol - spent £3.63 today, not as bad as I thought! £13.28 left for the week.2019 Aim: Save £10,000

Welcome :beer:purpleprincess to our merry band of moneysavers. I will add you to the list at the top, just let us know how you get on for the rest of the week. That is fine if you want to do Monday to Sunday, whatever floats your boat. I must say I like the fact that I can spend on Saturdays but maybe that is a bad thing.
F_F I notice lots of things that are bad for you are made of tasty. It is probably the ingredient that gives food calories. I have just made cupcakes definitely some tasty in there.

Hi all :hello:
So far so good for me this week (this time last week I'd used most of my budget). I've only spent £1.20 so far on car parking.
I'm going to try and avoid the shops tomorrow and see if I can keep most of it until I go out on Thursday night - not that I'm sure I feel like a night out. I've been feeling a little headachey and may be getting a cold, sniff.
xLooking forward to the future.0 -

Morning all,
pointless but interesting fact ; apparently Brioche is the stuff that Marie Antoinette suggested the poor should eat; not cake. Right, off to shopps to see what I can find for £3.76 that will keep DD & I nourished until friday  will report back later...0 -
I've done ok
,
got a huge bag of potatoes half price at £1.24, bag of carrots 50p, loaf of bread 72p, bananas 45p, tin of bins 32p & malt loaf for 44p ... total of £3.67 :j .
Decided not to buy fries as I found some roasty potatoes in the freezer & that will have to do.
