I'm sure that on the old post, a couple of people said that it depends on the order of which you use them. I'm pretty sure you use the points one first (maybe this is whilst the computer recognises the full price of the item?) then the blinkie to reduce the price. I hope someone will correct me, if I'm wrong!!

Used my 250 points from the No 7 P & P vanity cases (I bought 2), plus Blinkies to get 2 nail and cuticle doodahs free, plus £5 in points added on.
Started to use another Blinkie to get some Hydro quench sauna mask which was reduced to £4.30, then realised that with my 10% over 60s reduction, it would only be £3.87 so used points instead. I thought these cost over £9?
No GWPs, but loads of Admit It sets, which were going through at £4.87. I attempted to get one with 75% off, but my protests of "I'm elderly and get so confused with what's reduced and what isn't" didn't work!!
We then went to the Mall, and bought strong woven bags from Tchibo, for £1, which entitled us to a free coffee! I then got two more copies of Guinness Book of Records in Asda for £3 each, reduced from £20, for the grand-daughters, and another bag and coffee.
The Mall had bare shelves, just mince pies and a bottle of something in a set, wrapping paper and more doggy bookends, which I suspect will be the only things in the 90% sale, but used up my remaining Blinkies on more nail and cuticle stuff - they had loads.
They also had the Durex sets and we were picking these up and examining them with great interest, to the delight of a group of giggling girls, aged about 13, who were standing near us. At one point I turned round sharply, and looked at one, who collapsed in a heap - especially when I added "What are they?" :rotfl: :rotfl:
We finished off with a meal at Pizza Express (most expensive meal free!) so had one of the dearest and one of the cheapest, and shared, so that cost us £2.75 each, washed down with glasses of tap water! :j
Someone asked about the Trevor Sorbie Brunette Set - couldn't see any - sorry. I'm going to a preview of Thriller tomorrow, so will scout around and see if any London Boots have restocked their shelves.
I'm just wondering if the branches that still have empty shelves are leaving them bare for something? BTW, I noticed lots of Sanctuary sets at full price, that I recognised as being sold prior to Christmas 2007!!
I shall be doing the West End tomorrow, Canary Wharf on Monday with another friend, Lakeside & Beckton on Wednesday and Kingston on Friday, so will report back.

Well done Agent Scarlett for brigtening my day yet again with another wonderful post. :rotfl: :rotfl: I have been laid up with the 'lergy' all week, surviving on steroids, anibiotics and certain posts to keep me going.
Your posts are really a tonic, and have brought me to cetain conclusions.
1...Over 60's in your neck of the woods get a lot more perks than where I live, and I think it's great that you make such good use of them.
 Especially envy the 2 for1 meals and concessions on shows.
2...You remind people that we are the generation that were the fore-runners of the sexual revoloution of the 60's. We didn't invent sex, but dot...do..dot... and also advocate that we still do it and enjoy it too. My OH was my toyboy long before they were invented.
3...It's great shocking the young, I love it, but dont have the energy at the moment, but keep up the good work on my behalf.
4...Did you mean doggy bookends (sound rude:o )or dodgy??
5...Running out of steam now, but have a great time, in the West End tomorrow, Canary Wharf on Monday, Lakeside & Beckton on Wednesday and Kingston on Friday. I gather there are Boots in all these places, if not I am totally off topic.
6...The brewerey, is that a pub or another Boots or a combination of both
Finally, if you want some admit it, PM me asd I will send you some. From Poorly polly ~ What goes around comes around ~0 -

I felt the same. :T :T Rubes, for any newbies, is a lovely lady who always posted here and contributed brilliantly. I know I miss her and some of the other (old) posters too. Hope to see you all back in the New year. This boards big enough for us all

Thanks Secret Agent Scarlett! Appreciate you checking for me. Dragged myself into Ilford today to look. They only had some JF blonde sets, some St Tropez kits, loads of cards & wrapping paper, a few blue photo frames with butterflies on, some trash alley(?) games and those strange dog bookend things(?).
Don't forget the Beckton outlet shop if you're in that area. The 366 bus runs from Gallions reach to Beckton Triangle retail park. PM me if you need more info. Enjoy Thriller! My friend would love that. She's mad on Michael Jackson.Cross Stitch Cafe Monthly Challenge Member #27

Could i ask you kind Boootsers for some advice. My son is having driving lessons, he is geting himself into such a state before the lesson, i am sure i have read about some ? bachs tablets sold in boots that have a calming effect..any advice is so greatly recieved.

As another op suggested, Bach Rescue Remedy in spray form, droplet or pastelle is pretty effective for relieving mild anxiety. Kalms also make a tablet for stress, which you can buy in Boots too, but I don't know how good it is compared to Bach's. Failing that, if your son's anxiety is moderate or severe and not overcome by one of these treatments, his G.P could prescribe some short-term medication for anxiety which would certainly help him. Other than that, he could ask for some psychological help from the surgery, such as being taught some relaxation skills, breathing exercises etc. Hope this helps and good luck! x0 -
I would highly recommend the really renewing body polish for use with blinkies - it's really sorted out my winter skin!
I can''t find much sale stuff now in my local stores. i want a glitch!!!!!0
