If anyone happens to pick up a Bachs Night Remedy set in the sale that they don't want, please let me know. My mum is having real problems sleeping, and I'm on the look out for one for her.

Just to say, a BIG thank you to you all on this thread,I have been really touched by your kindness (and sorry for putting "chat" on the thread, but i thought i might get a good response on here).

Thanks to Rubylou88,who was tremendously kind enough to send me an identical
bunny from the same gift pack, bunny and child are now reunited:D:T.

When the parcel arrived this morning,i didn't give it to her straight away, because I was waiting for my OH to get home from work.I told her she had to listen for the doorbell, which kept her busy for an hour.

When OH got home ,we heard the doorbell ring, and voila! There was bunny returned from his travels.
She was so delighted and has been hugging" Rabbit" him ever since-she will just not let him go.

I will post a photo later if i get time (I have a 3 month old baby too,so I am not quite sure when that will be.

I did receive the other bunny from Ebay, but it wasn't the same although it looked similar in the photo.

    From last thread.

  • We went this morning to find the Brewery deserted and several shelves bare, except for some doggy bookends, and some cosmetic purses, with nothing in them, that were £10, reduced to £2.50, and I thought that was too dear!

Used my 250 points from the No 7 P & P vanity cases (I bought 2), plus Blinkies to get 2 nail and cuticle doodahs free, plus £5 in points added on.
Started to use another Blinkie to get some Hydro quench sauna mask which was reduced to £4.30, then realised that with my 10% over 60s reduction, it would only be £3.87 so used points instead. I thought these cost over £9?

No GWPs, but loads of Admit It sets, which were going through at £4.87. I attempted to get one with 75% off, but my protests of "I'm elderly and get so confused with what's reduced and what isn't" didn't work!!

We then went to the Mall, and bought strong woven bags from Tchibo, for £1, which entitled us to a free coffee! I then got two more copies of Guinness Book of Records in Asda for £3 each, reduced from £20, for the grand-daughters, and another bag and coffee. ;)

The Mall had bare shelves, just mince pies and a bottle of something in a set, wrapping paper and more doggy bookends, which I suspect will be the only things in the 90% sale, but used up my remaining Blinkies on more nail and cuticle stuff - they had loads.

They also had the Durex sets and we were picking these up and examining them with great interest, to the delight of a group of giggling girls, aged about 13, who were standing near us. At one point I turned round sharply, and looked at one, who collapsed in a heap - especially when I added "What are they?" :rotfl: :rotfl:

We finished off with a meal at Pizza Express (most expensive meal free!) so had one of the dearest and one of the cheapest, and shared, so that cost us £2.75 each, washed down with glasses of tap water! :j

Someone asked about the Trevor Sorbie Brunette Set - couldn't see any - sorry. I'm going to a preview of Thriller tomorrow, so will scout around and see if any London Boots have restocked their shelves.

I'm just wondering if the branches that still have empty shelves are leaving them bare for something? BTW, I noticed lots of Sanctuary sets at full price, that I recognised as being sold prior to Christmas 2007!!

I shall be doing the West End tomorrow, Canary Wharf on Monday with another friend, Lakeside & Beckton on Wednesday and Kingston on Friday, so will report back.

Secret Agent Scarlett - always on duty!

    xx

can anyone fill me in on what the current bargins are in boots as i've been reading the thread for days and its all about the sale and i like boots bargins they are great for gifts

Everyone just now seems to be finding reduced Herbal Essence for under £1 and you get 100pts back with each bottle and there are Pantene sachets for 97p and you also get 100pts back on them. People are finding some reduced no 7 items and using their £5 off vouchers to get things free/cheap. Also been quite a bit of Gilette items reduced going about.

Someone call a doctor - i'm choking with laughter. I think you would be great as a family planning advisor visiting local schools - needs something to shock the kids here.Or have they already cleared the shelves cos i couldn't see any even before the sale.

I just got an e-mail back from customer services, my order placed at 3.21pm on Wednesday 14th has been depatched and charged at full price and they won't refund the difference because they say the sale was off the website by then!! Well it was all showing at 75% off in my basket, and I'm sure it was hours later they took it off!

I placed my order at 4:25pm on wednesday + was charged 75% off .. it has been despatched + it's due on Tuesday... just checked my bank + Boots only took out the correct money of 75% off .. not full price.

Just back from a quick scouting trip to Waterfields in Watford. Nothing left in the sale and mostly no7 sun stuff reduced (lots of this). But then I went over to the no7 section and found another small reduced display again mostly with suncare stuff. They did have some gold (purse shaped) sets which were previously GWP's selling for £6.50. I picked up 2 to use with my blinkies. No olay GWP's though.

Just opened the gold set and there is a 250 point voucher (expires 27/1/09) when you buy no7 inside. Am I right in thinking it's hit and miss whether they will go through with a Blinkie or not?
There's a skinny woman inside me screaming to be let out. A cookie soon shuts her up!!! :rotfl:

The No 7 SA told me they go through only when you spend some actual cash so if you get a reduced No 7 product make sure it is just over the £5 mark. Should work fine then. I've used 2 this week and one of them was entered manually by the SA.
