I don't know if anyone else would find this a good one but.... Boots have the triple packs of Cadbury Cream Eggs and you can get them as part of the meal deal! I tried it out and it worked! :j (the tiny writing says it's all snacks under £1.35).

I SO did not need to know that. (Still struggling with the post-Xmas podge....)

mmh I might have to try the Mineral foundation now then,I always imagined the powder would cling to imperfections as skittifer says but I might give it a go.With a blinky of course and GWP .Pity I have no 250pts vouchers left.
What shade did you get skittifer?
I am quite pale and find No7 Foundations are too dark/yellow.
I am finally going back to work tomorrow, its quite scarey after 6 months off with BC.But my depression is lifting and I need normality in my life.(might need some of the Bachs sets I got in the sale!)
Unfortunately I will have less and less time for Bootsing as I build my hours up.
Thank you all for providing many hours entertainment and all the glitches and bargains.
I hope all MSErs that are under the weather (inc Sandras DS) will soon be better.

May treat myself to the foundation on Wed as a treat after working Tuesday!

I think the thing to remember is always have some kind of moisturiser on underneath (which should work with other powdery types but still didn't help) and you only need a very small amount, so build up gradually. I have quite dry skin and I am very pale - a combination of being a complete sun dodger and way too many late nights (hence the dark circles too) :rotfl: so I went for the New Ivory shade. My skin still looked pale, as it stayed quite true to my skin tone, rather than having an orange tone like with some foundations, but if you don't dig the ghostly pale look, a touch of bronzer over the top would work a treat.

Good luck with your return to work :)

Oh and thank you Couttsey, my DS is a handsome little chap..I think I'm a bit biased though ;)

Hope you are feeling much better. I had really bad anaemia back in 2007 had a hb count of 4.2 doctor could believe i was still working full time. Ended up in hospital having a blood transfusion. Feeling fine now keep having blood test to check my hb and at the momenet is at 15 so thats really good.

Thanks for your good wishes. I've managed to get mine up to 7.8 now so am feeling a bit better, still a bit fainty if i stand up for long though. I fought the doc about going into hospital for a transfusion as I had one in 2000 and had a terrible time. Still, I think I'm getting better now. Hard though isn't it, cos no-one can see you are poorly and think you just need to pull yourself together! You are doing well now! Great.

I feel really cross with myself as my Boots had loads of those No.7 travel bags. I was going to get one then thought I would be good as I didn't really need it. If I had known so many people wanted them I could have got them for them.

    Anyone in Lincoln area?

Sorry this is a bit chatty guys...

I posted the other day wondering what peeps thought of the No7 mineral foundation and blusher, especially as even the lightest shade looked quite dark, well I used them at the weekend and I have to say I love love love them! :j I have tried numerous mineral foundations (as well as other powdery foundations) and never got along with any of them, they always seemed to look like they were clogging pores and sticking to any inperfections :o but this foundation is brill! You just need the lightest of "dustings" too, just build it up tiny bit by bit, less is definitely more. The brush it comes with is very good.

Just for reference I wore P&P serum, eye cream and day cream underneath as well as a bit of Benefit That Gal primer, oh and a bit of S&G Trick and Treatment to hide the dark circles (I think this is almost as good as Touch Eclat and is much cheaper ;) ).

I got a couple of compliments too (very rare :rotfl: )

So especially whilst there is a GWP with it, these are definitely a good use of a blinkie :D

Do they give sample sizes of the mineral foundation? I bought sample sizes from another site online, and while I liked it, I don't think I'd wear it out as I feel self-conscious, like it's not applied properly (because I've never used foundation due to the same clumping problems you spoke of). So maybe I shouldn't bother, but I'm always tempted by new items!

Also, what section is the s&g trick or treatment in -- the bath stuff or the facial skincare? I couldn't find it online.

Yup, the 90% sale starts Wed 28th from what I've read on here.

Although you'll be very hard pressed to actually find anything in it considering everything flew off the shelves during the 75% off bit....unless they get more stock..which is what we are all hoping for I suppose.....oh and the sale to come back online
.......Jellybaby prays to the Boots god..........
    :D

Erm, what's the new No 7 GWP then? How could I have missed that. LOL

The GWP I was [strike]waffling[/strike] talking about was this one that you get free when you buy either the mineral foundation or blusher (or 2 if you buy both in separate transactions ;) )

I ALWAYS have to try everything new! The last mineral foundation I tried was a Revlon one and it looked terrible, however lightly I tried to put it on. This one didn't at all, I put the teeniest amount on the brush at a time, and then brush brush brushed onto the skin, blending it on as much as possible. I don't know about samples...it's a shame we don't all live in the same town, we could have make up trial evenings :rotfl:

The S&G Trick n Treatment is by the the bath stuff (it is in my local and was in the store I visited yesterday), although now they have the new facial stuff they will probably move it to confuse me :p , here it is online
