I went into my local big Boots on the Tuesday evening to see what stock was there. And I was second in the door the next day....and the top 20% of the previous night's stock was gone, I do assure you. There were staff carrying baskets of shopping to the tills for themselves, and through the back. I don't begrudge them their perks because they're a nice bunch generally in that shop, but just making the point not to rely on the stock still being there for you at opening time.
Interesting! The sa's in my local said that staff can't buy before the store opens or the night before, I was in ten minutes after opening time and all the stock was still the same from the night before the sa's were picking up their stuff along with me!Maybe i'm just lucky here in Scotland!
EDIT: Well...the stock was all the same apart from the one thing I really wanted (ATM saving bank) which another customer got before me!0 -
I have had to learn the art of patience with this thread, i never really organised my shops with lists etc before but now it is like a PHD. Df knows im going to boots when he see's me scratching y head with my brag book in front of me, a pen in one hand and my notebook in the other.
I get so excited when i have waited all week with my lists of essentials and then go to boots. As i get closer the adrenalin gets going and i get so excited i almost pass out, lol.
You should have seen me last week when i bagged myself some L'oreal GWP's.
I only ever go to buy essentials and the extra points and blinkies have given me so many treats that i have never been so pampered in my life. And so will my family this year, i shall have to inform that all not to feel bad when they get masses of pressies from us. As they didnt cost us much.
I sometimes feel like a super hero with an invisible cape, especially when i point out glitches, offers or sale date hints to other customers as im passing by.
My Ds (6) now knows the entire No7 range. And loves coming with me. I have found that bootsing is great at teaching him the value of money and saving.:TIs thankful to those who have shared their :T

No one has 1, I too have been longing for one and have been asking on here since wednesday, they have all just disapeared into thin air. There i 1 on ebay i have my eye on it but refuse to pay over the odds for it. I would rather do without.
Good luck in finding one, if i find any (very very unlikely) and they have 2 i will pick one up for you.:TIs thankful to those who have shared their :T

I didn't see any shelf sweeping going on at Bristol Cribbs either, all were well behaved there. If I had seen it going on I would have said something along the lines of 'you greedy b**ch, give someone else a chance'!!!![/quote]
:rotfl: you tell 'em Angie100:D seriously, I didn't see anyone snatching and grabbing in luton either. Everyone was on their best behaviour from what I witnessed.
I wonder how many ebayers are selling S&G grab bags. I didn't see any reduced to 75% off anywhere! I can't even find it on dotcom. anymorehas anyone got the product code? so I can save it to my favourites, just incase they are in the sale when (if) it goes ahead:D
Hi Sally
I didn't on Wednesday but on Thursday 2 women were fighting over a BRatz toothbrush. (lol) Lady 1 said she had put it on the shelf because she was sorting out her things. I think lady 2 tried to take it - in the end lady one did offer it to her but she didn't take it.
How much do you want the S&G Grab Bag??? I bought one from .com in the 50% sale for £8.81 (just checked price). You are quite welcome to have it at this price. Let me know - if you want it, its yours0 -

Wow. Go away for a couple of days and there are PAGES to catch up on. Broclo, loved the post where you suggested 'forgetting' to put the Olay wipes in the basket when getting the gwp.
I have looked and looked. Can someone pretty please tell me about the various gwp glitches? I know about the purple Olay one with the gold ribbon just going through without you having to buy anything, but people have talked about Rimmel and L'Oreal? What are those please? And are there any others? Have looked in vain at the first post for this info...0 -

Some people like to be a bit discreet in talking about 'old gwp's' as often they then dissapear after staff are alerted etc, so you will not find them on the first post.
We were recently saying on the refugees thread that more discretion is needed due to this thread being monitored as 'old gwp's' are a bit of a grey area when it comes down to should we/shouldn't we etc
Picasso, not having a go at you(or anyone!)but just thought i'd use this chance to mention what has been discussed recentlyas by being a little less obvious we may get far more
Anyway....

May not be on for a while. My DS was taken ill unexpectedly, & rushed to hospital this evening, DGC distraught and unconsolable. Can't sleep so whiled away some time, looking on Fleabay.
One lovely lady has 137 items to sell, all Boots, all By It Now, totalling ....£666 - the Devil Incarnate.
Goodness knows what else has been sold by her since Wednesday. So that's where all the stuff has gone - fair or what?0 -

I'm in Edinburgh, so it can't be that. Perhaps it's down to the individual manager? But come to think of it the staff were going to the tills after the store opened with their baskets, so perhaps they were ones that weren't on shift yet. I know they're not allowed to put things aside or buy when actually working.Val.0
