I was lucky and bought essentials at 50% and a set of the mini perfumes for DDs at 75%. Agree with all on here about the sweepers - not cool. Noticed that someone's selling the R&M red set split up, and someone else has - get this - the Olay GWP for 5.99 + 3.00 postage !!

Next year's sales will need more coordination and planning folks! Maybe flash MSEr's IYSWIM...

Anyone else noticed that all the old GWP's from December are showing as 'in stock' if you have them saved to your favourites. Shame it won't let me order any!!!

I have learnt my lesson, i too will buy what i need in the 50% sale if its something of limited stock rather than risk waiting and missing out. Alhough knowing my luck i will buy at full price or 50% and then there will be loads in the 75% sale.

Yeah my luck is the same, if I got it in the 50% off you can bet there would be loads in the 75% off sale!!

I have hatched a plan for next year, i'm going to take the day off work and check out the stores the night before for the goodies I need and then hit it at opening time! So if anyone wants to give me some orders i'll be happy to pick it up for them next year hehe

That plan might work, but you could be thwarted. I think at many places staff will go at it before the store opens or the second it does, and the good stuff will disappear fast. I imagine a few of those items on ebay are from employees, who were not only able to get their hands on lots of it but got an employee discount to boot. Imagine how much you could make on a p&p set that was what, 85% off or so for employees, especially if you broke it down and sold the items individually.

I'm not saying it's a bad idea to get there first thing next year, I just think it would be really interesting to compare what was there the night before at closing with what is there when the doors open.

I went into my local big Boots on the Tuesday evening to see what stock was there. And I was second in the door the next day....and the top 20% of the previous night's stock was gone, I do assure you. There were staff carrying baskets of shopping to the tills for themselves, and through the back. I don't begrudge them their perks because they're a nice bunch generally in that shop, but just making the point not to rely on the stock still being there for you at opening time.

Talking of GWP, does anyone know if you can get two No 7 GWP in your basket on .com? The mineral cosmetics that you need to buy to get it allows one GWP with each item (foundation or blusher) & adding either to your basket singly puts one in the basket too, but adding a 2nd item doesn't add a 2nd GWP? Why is this, if its not a minimum spend, etc? Surely it should add 1 for each item?

Would it be the same instore? Would I have to do two transactions to get them? I was going to try to be cheeky & do a 342 as well! lol!!

Also, should I have got a blinkie when I purchased my few items of sale stuff on Thurs (spend was about £20?) I'm a Boots virgin so I'm not very clued up on the voucher side, at the mo! I was only given the receipt by the SA.

Yes you should of .. spend £5 get £5 no 7 voucher .. so you need to do seperate transactions next time.
