    GRRRRRR

Just checked my order and its still showing as being processed.

Its a bit shocking how they arent even paying attention to those orders that are on next day delivery yet those who have just got standard delivery have recieved theirs already.

Im not impressed as i cancelled plans today to wait in for it.

CS comment: ''well we have been busy and things like this happen, it wont be leaving here until later today as it hasnt even been packed yet so you might get it on monday''

Might - is not good enough, but hey they are refunding my Next day delivery charge.

Next time im not going to bother paying extra for next day delivery - im just gonna chance it. Boots obviously dont really care whether you pay next day delivery or not, they just work through a random list and its pot luck. Im mega pee'd off now.
:TIs thankful to those who have shared their :T
:T fortune with those less fortunate :T
:T than themselves - you know who you are!

I have just spoken to boots and they have said that the sale WILL NOT be back on online-any items in baskets that were not checked out (i had 13 sale items) are now at full price and will not be reduced again-apparently the sale was more popular than they anticipated-in other words they'd rather con people into buying at full price-sorry everyone!!!:mad:
    absolutely scandalous! What awful people!!

No offence to Debs but personally I take everything CS say with a pinch of salt after all this is the same CS who said that there would be public announcements/advertisements of when the sale would go back live and also the same CS who said that the sale would go live between 7am and 7pm. Both of which was wrong. Surely if the sale was gone forever then the website would be updated to no longer say that they were having temporary issues with the sale and trying to resolve the matter? Possibly just wishful thinking on my behalf though
You never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have.

Official line from boots-THE SALE WILL NOT BE COMING BACK AS THE DEMAND WAS TOO HIGH-ALL ITEMS SAVED IN BASKETS BEFORE THE SITE CRASHED ARE BACK AT FULL PRICE AND WILL REMAIN THAT WAY:mad::mad:

The extra rip-off is that these items weren't really priced to be sold as single items -- they were vastly over-priced so that Boots could still make a profit on a 342 sale (which is what they cost the entire time they were on store shelves). So putting them at full-price now without a 342 sale means they cost 33% more than they ever did, really!!! What a complete rip-off, and of course some people will have spent so much time trying to get these items on sale, a few of them will pay the price. And other people who never use Boots much won't know what a rip-off they are, and they will pay full price. I think they should at least put these back to 342.

Edit: Doh, Krispiiduck beat me to it, lol.
  • Finally decided to give them a call and was told it's unlikely the sale will be back online and the stock they have will be shipped out to their bigger stores...so all that time camped out in front of the Boots.com page was a complete and utter waste of time

I have 2 of the big R&M red cases, only taken the vouchers out. I got them for my nieces when they were offer of the week. I paid £25 each for them. Do you think I can take them back and get a refund as I forgot to give them to the girls at Christmas?

So only the people who live near big branches, or have transport will be able to get the sale goods :(

If they look unopened, you sure can! However, I would only take it back if you have the receipt to show proof of price, as they are only worth 12.50 at the current rate.

They (or us, if my local big store counts) won't even have good access, as we don't know when it will arrive and it sells out fast. Much or all of the s&g or p&p won't even make it out of the stockroom in some stores -- employees will nab it.

I agree - or maybe use as birthday prezzies?

    ;)
"Buy me, Lady", said the frock, "and I will make you into a BEAUTIFUL & WHOLE & COMPLETE human being".
"Do not be silly", said the Man, "for a frock alone cannot do that".
"True", said the Lady, "I will have the shoes and the bag as well".
