  • I have just spoken to boots and they have said that the sale WILL NOT be back on online-any items in baskets that were not checked out (i had 13 sale items) are now at full price and will not be reduced again-apparently the sale was more popular than they anticipated-in other words they'd rather con people into buying at full price-sorry everyone!!!:mad:

Does anyone know if Boots.com will ever get GHDs back in stock :(

Bad news about the sale :(

surely they arent going to be able to sell it all off at full price, I doubt people will fall for that.

  • Official line from boots-THE SALE WILL NOT BE COMING BACK AS THE DEMAND WAS TOO HIGH-ALL ITEMS SAVED IN BASKETS BEFORE THE SITE CRASHED ARE BACK AT FULL PRICE AND WILL REMAIN THAT WAY:mad::mad:

Not a surprise. They need their website to be stable and clearly the sale is making things go odd. So the best they can do is to scrap it.

Edit: Mind you its flipping annoying, as I wasn't able to get to a store and my only hope was online. But everything I wanted was gone or glitchy by the time I got there.

So where will all the sale stock in the .com warehouse go? To their two clearance outlets? Or the shops?

  • I'm not sure if this helps anyone but one poster on the Boots 75% sale grabbit thread was saying that CS would not put the sale back on and wouldn't allow you to pay then have a 75% refund, but would allow them to order at full price and have the 75% back in points - I know this is not something everyone wants but if there are people who are desperate for one or two items it might be worth while? Okay so you'd lose out cash wise but gain in points, which may mean you can afford other bargains in store?

Am I making any sense? lol....this D&V has scrambled my brain :o

With a little forsight it wouldn't have been too much of an issue to host the sale on a temporary rented server seperate to their base site, to get past the initial hammering for the popular items.
  • I ordered at 4:14 yesterday morning, and it's still showing as being processed, yet others that ordered hours later have had dispatch emails already, even though they (like myself) didn't pay for next day delivery. You'd think they'd do them in order, wouldn't you, but just fast-tracking those that paid for next day delivery?
  • Morning all,

I ordered yesterday morning at 8, only paid for normal delivery, and just received my parcel, everything is ok, no damaged bottles or boxes, so I'm very pleased with my first 75% online sale. :T
