I am finding it very frustrating. I have a favourites list that I have been trying to purchase for a number of weeks , everytime the sale is on, out of stock they go and stay out of stock. Now they are all back except for 2 items. Sigh ......... What a huge mess.0 -

I did try that Pantene Protect and Repair sachet tonight, and my hair is soooo soft - very nice of Mr B to pay me 3p to use it ;-)0

But I think I know what's happened - during the .com crash warehouse staff were sitting around bored with nothing to do, and decided to open that door at the far end of the warehouse, and guess what? they found shelves and shelves of S+G, No.7, itng, etc piled high. They are, as we speak, informing head office that the sale can go back on!

Well, I finally lost my dot com virginity at 6.15 this morning, the lure of the Country Living hamper was just too strong to resist :rotfl: It was actually OOS even at that early hour ( I don't understand why so many of these are already in the Beckton clearance store as they were obviously going to be a popular buy) but I managed to spend a few pounds on things that I wished I'd picked up in the instore sale last week. Everything went very smoothly, no generic errors or things adding themselves to my basket, I won't declare it a complete success until everything has been safely delivered though.
I was back in from work briefly two hours later and by then the Boots site was already beginning to slow down under the strain, so glad that I was able to place an order when I did.
Just received a Boots Viewpoint survey this evening, asking about my experiences shopping for Christmas gifts over the last 12 months both instore and online. Mine haven't been too fraught but I bet many of the surveys are going to make uncomfortable reading for Mr B.
The new website is a shambles and must have been a total PR disaster for Boots this year. DS girlfriend is a Boots SA and they too have had problems with the site. Twice the staff online pre-Christmas shopping events have been postponed then permanently cancelled due to the site being full of errors, plus when trying to shop online at other times many staff have been unable to get their staff discount applied as they were unable to add their staff ID numbers, CS were unable to help
This year Mr B has let down his customers and staff big time, there are lots of lessons to be learned for next year.
As Sandra Scarlett said a few days ago, if you've been disappointed with your Boots shopping experiences then you should make yourself heard and send an email, better still print off your letter and post it, it will have more impact that way. The CS address is on the back of Boots receipts.
One last thing, while browsing dot com this morning I noticed that the Boots manicure sets, this one and this one were priced at 75% off online, now full price again sice the sale was removed. I was looking at them instore yesterday though the SEL's were showing full price there. I'm going to get them price checked next time I'm instore, they would make nice stocking fillers if they are 75% off. They are with the nailcare, false lashes and cosmetic brushes if anyone wants to try their luck.
