Did the SA try it and it beeped, or did she refuse to try it? I'm curious because that can make a big difference, as many times vouchers work on things even though the small print says it shouldn't (for instance, each time we use more than one voucher for an item or use one on something that is already on sale, that's technically against the terms of these vouchers - but they usually work anyway).

Still got heaps of Herbal Essences at 73p at the Dewsbury store with 100 points. Managed to walk past and not pick any up.

Still got lots of NO 7 Suncare and various other brands on clearance.

Just wanting this cleared up. I asked 1 of the SA's at my local if they take unopened giftsets back and she said no. Is this true? If it is, what the fcuk am I going to do with the Ruby and Millie eye make up thing? Err!

And to the 2 ladies that wanted giftsets off me, I have posted them 2nd class today, should be with you by Saturday, if not, Monday. Cheers.

They do take them back! With most things, if you ask in advance if you can do it, the SA will just say "no" because it's easier than figuring it out. I'd just bring it back and say I'd like a refund (or exchange, as the case may be), and not ask if it's ok first. But go to a different SA, lol.

btw, I think that SA not only didn't know her job, but was a bit daft! I'd think most of them would love it if you returned a giftset, because it might be something they wanted, lol.

Thanks IKKLE and SKIBSTER. Exactly what I was thinking. Don't get me wrong, I would use it on my own eyes (joking!), but the colours just don't go with my complexion.

I've found using the voucher 1st works no problem. I hand over my purchase and give them the points voucher with my card but I keep the blinkie in my purse, i don't get it out until the points voucher has been scanned.

The 250 points that came with the xmas gwp (gold bag) works fine on reduced items the ones from the gift sets say they can't be used on reduced items (or something like that), they are the ones that often bleep. nice SA's will add the points if they can. Some SA's have told me they don't have the authority to add points on manually, it needs someone more experienced or senior. Hit and miss.

mimi - I took a gist set back just yesterday and had it refunded no problem. There were a couple of things I'd bought from .com and 1 item I'd bought in store with points. I did all of the returns at the photo counter. No problem whatsoever. One was a Ruby and Millie lip set so can't see a problem with the eye make up thing. good luck.

if you can't return the gift set ebay it to offset some of your boots purchases.

did you pay full price for it??
