The site is back up and guess what the sale has vanished.
Spoke to them at 9.15 this morning when I could not get it to take my money and they said it had frozen and there was nothing they could do, and they could not take my order over the phone as there screens had frozen as well. I did ask them to log my phone call but I doubt it will get me anywhere.
Have given up now, its a shame that the system is just not good enough though on the plus side, it has been entertaining over the last week to see what was in my basket as the computer randomly added anything I had ever ordered in whatever numbers if felt like. I Ah well glad to see some people beat the computer and the system and got something just hope it arrives as ordered and that the computer has not changed it, on a whim. Perhaps it has a sense of humour
Sounds the same as me lol. I spotted the sale around 7.15 and tried to order, hung at the same place every time - the bit inbetween the card details and visa authorisation screen. Had to go to work and came home to find the site down - no stock left anyway so no point.
My basket had completely emptied as well, even the items not on sale. Makes a change to see them empty it rather than finding 10 of everything lol.
Disappointed not to get an order today as didnt get one before and think thats it for me re Boots. 95% of my shopping is done on the net so I need a site that works.0 -

I didnt know you get told of for doing that, so may do the same on ebay, went a bit crazy in the 50% sale. I think im getting " bootsitis" ( condition affecting both men and women , whom are compelled to part with cash when entering Boots stores especially when extra points are available):D
You laugh because I'm different......I laugh cause I just farted!

Evening everyone,
I too didnt try and order anything today as i thought it fair to let others have a go, besides i have spent far too much in Boots lately. I know your not allowed to offer anything for swaps or sale but my order (first day of sale) got duplicated nd I ended up with 3 extra Elle McPherson (sp!) sets and 1 spare No7 eyes and Box w set, guess I'll have to take them back tomorrow morning, kinda shame that I dont know anyone that needs/wants them. GONE now.... Shhhhhh

Does anyone know:
1. Can you use a blinkie on the No7 Illuminated Make-up Mirror?
2. Is the mirror very bright (i.e. brighter than a normal lamp) ? (It's just, I've seen one in a *local chemist* for £12.99 and the only difference is the light).
Thanks x
When the blinkie was a pinky it worked no problem, don't know if anyone has tried a mirror lately as so many of us got it with a super glitch a few months ago. I paid 5 quid for it; I think it was worth paying up to 15 quid for it.
I will say while the mirror isn't awfully bright, the brightness is ok and the size of the mirror and the magnified size are good. I keep a cheapo gooseneck desk lamp from Argos next to it to fill any light I need. I'm happy with it. This is much better than a mirror with no light for sure.
fyi, the mirrors with the best light I've ever found are the kind with four big round light bulbs, one in each corner. My last one like that died, and the no7 glitch came along so I got that.
edit: Online says this mirror is 19.57 right now. If a blinkie worked, it would be 14.57 and you'd get another blinkie, which in boots logic makes it cheaper than the 12.99 one you saw elsewhere. Or you could wait until Wednesday, when you would get the new no7 gwp with it and the new voucher for skincare/haircare.0 -

Both are nice, very easily absorbed, non greasy but I don't know about the 12 moisture claim !! worth the £1ish I paid with Blinkie
The night one was down to £4.10 today so it was free with a blinkie!! The other day is was around £7.xx:T0 -

Don't buy them ! Both are rubbish!0 -
Make sure the points voucher gets scanned first...
Thread moving too fast so I can't find out now who said to do this, but thanks so much for the tip. Had the most bizarre conversation with SA yesterday - trying to purchase No 7 face wash with blinkie and 250 points - told could not use blinkie! Then told could deffo not use points as not to be used with special offer, meaning blinkie. Then told other special offer was No 7 on 3-4-2 - like, hello, I am only buying one! Finally told blinkie and points would not work together - aha, yes if you scan the points first! Bingo! honestly though, you'd think they were giving away their own money... Anyway, thanks v much to whoever pointed it out, otherwise I would not have had a clue. SS0
