Sorry if I am repeating old news (I have been skimming through the last couple of pages ...) but I just phoned Boots to ask if my order went through from this afternoon.
Everything seemed to go through ok, payment details completed etc, then I got an error.
Anyway, nice chap on the phone confirmed that although he could see my order and it was 'pending', it won't be going through.
He also said that the 75% sale has now been taken off the website for good.
I didn't think to ask him about the 90% sale but looks like that won't be happening ....
  • To clear gen error
    log out
add toothpaste or something normal to your basket
    log back in
go into basket in normal way and it will prob say some item in your basket was OOS and that prob caused the error
thanks mylittlesisterlola I tried that for me but still getting generic error

I would gladly spend a blinkie on reduced nail varnish if I had ever seen any ! The only reduced stuff is ancient sun care and fake tan , mainly in leaking lid- less bottles! All the No 7 accessories are well over £5 in my store and not much good in my experience (like the eye lash curlers which dont - and dont get me started on the electric ones!)
I find the no 7 skincare (apart from P & P) overpriced for what it is so it looks like I will be getting a few more packs of face wipes!

Really enjoyed Bootsing last year but the last few weeks have been so rubbish for me . Tried to find out when the next GWP for Clinique and Estee Lauder are but no Boots listing up to end of February. I looked at the latest EL GWP in John Lewis today and is lovely - hope Boots get it soon!
  • Just read this on Hot Deals UK. What's good for the goose, is good for the gander!

Something very strange hapened today when I got in from work. I opened my mail as usual and there was a letter from Boots. It stated:

I am contacing you about your order *********** which you recently placed with boots.com. Unforunately due to technical difficulties we were unable to process your order and therefore had to cancel it.

We sent you an email at the time of cancelling to advise you of this however, we wanted to let you know again how genuinely sorry we are. We hope you will agree this is not our usual standard of service.

I appreciate how frustrating this will have been and I'd like to offer you a £25 gift card which you can use to treat yourself in store. I hope that this will go some way towards making up for the inconvenience caused and that you'll continue to shop with Boots in the future.

Should you have any further questions please contact our customer care team on *********.

I was stunned! £25 card was enclosed. I placed an order early December it didn't arrive, was cancelled and I had to order again and then call up to get the correct bonus points added on. I didn't complaim and I still got the order well before Christmas. Has anyone else received this before. I'm very pleased!

So all of you who have been disappointed - get writing to CS and say that as they have set a precedent by doing this before, could they please apply the same goodwill to your utter fiasco of an order. Good Luck!

    xx

I picked up 2 of these today for £1 each in clearance. They had loads there. This was in Broadmead Bristol.

I also noticed 2 different types of silver clutch bags for £1 each - previous GWP.

    Oh b*gger!!

Went out an hour ago, when the site was still down! Just got back in, logged straight onto Boots to see the No 7 kit & the Elle "Take Me on a Journey" case still in stock, still reduced in my basket!! :j Whipped out the plastic, quicker than you could say "Blinkie"!! And as it checked out, the bl**dy prices went back to the full amount!! Gutted, yet again, for the trillianth time this month!!

Then logged on here to find out why! So thats it then, no chance of getting them now........I give up!!

    S xx
Everything I wanna do is either illegal, immoral or fattening! lol :rotfl:
  • I'm so sorry Sophisticated, but the Country Thingy Hamper is sooooooooooo heavy, that the postage would be astronomical.

No worries SS, I wasn't trying to hint :) Just wish I lived in near this Beckton place to get all these bargains!! Perhaps we should organise a day out haha :rotfl:
  • elisamoose, I don't know how big your local Boots is, but the nail kit Sandra was referring to is usually located with other nail accessories/fake eyelashes section, it's quite nice for a gift :)
