Yep - did all that, twice, and for the brief time when I could actually look at my basket, it contained only the full price item. The only sale item I've had in there all day is still available, but now at full price.0 -
To quote my DH "Boots couldn't organise a hiss up in a brewery", and he's right! What a fiasco.
Feel so sorry for all of you that wanted stuff and missed out last time too, your nerves must be shredded.
Anyway, I'm Jollying off to Basildon tomorrow, and if anyone is looking desperately for something, or is on the verge of slitting their throat and eating their liver through frustration, I would willingly buy it and post it, if I can carry it, or let you know if it's worth going yourselves.
The problem is, after the posting about the scenes at Basildon that appeared in their local paper, I probably will find the fixtures and fittings have been sold as well. But I'll do my best - if peeps PM me with their requirements.
I'm so sorry Sophisticated, but the Country Thingy Hamper is sooooooooooo heavy, that the postage would be astronomical.
A word to all those peeps who say "I have a Blinkie, but there's nothing that I want/need", or "I want a Blinkie, but don't need to buy anything". Sorry, but both those statements are impossible! :rotfl: :rotfl:
First of all, everyone needs toothpaste, deodorant, tissues, hair products, "feminine requirements" (didn't I put that delicately!!) well p'raps not our Lads, but they might wish to get "masculine requirements", and how about headache tablets, plasters, cough drops, just in case, etc etc. Blimey you can get a Blinkie in no time!
And if you have a Blinkie, get one of the buffer and pouch sets, or the cuticle cream, or a few reduced nail varnishes. There is always something.
I've just posted a CD to a friend for her birthday, and she too has BC, and has lost her hair, but likes to keep her nails looking nice, so I've included the buffer set, the cuticle cream, and a top coat.
As it was 3 for 2, and I used a Blinkie, it gave me £15 worth of stuff for a few pounds. And anyone who is saying they have been refused the use of their Blinkie and a points coupon, then just say "Well, I'm so sorry, but more than one friend has told me they did this, so would you mind awfully just checking with the Manager please? Thank you so much".
Then whilst you're waiting for the Manager to appear, chat pleasantly about the weather/how busy the SA must have been during the sales/isn't it a bind when Head Office change the rules, and fail to advise the staff, etc.etc.
This way, he/she doesn't lose face when the machine accepts the points and Blinkie, as it surely will, and as you leave add "I'm so sorry to have put you to this extra bother, thank you very much for your trouble, you have been so helpful".
I know it's virtually kissing their Harris, but so what? You've used your Blinkie and your points - and isn't that all that really matters!

I love reading about yor exploits and having a quiet smile to myself.
You are so right!!! Making people feel good about themselves is good for them and for you as they always look on you more kindly and feel that you understand their frustrations.
Have fun tomorrow.0 -

The re-order always shows to make it easier next time and you won't get a carrier allocated until the payment has been taken and it is in the warehouse.
If the order shows as being processed or order taken, there is an order number and the payment details show then all should be ok.0 -

The reorder is just incase you wanted to duplicate the orders you have already placed nothing to worry about
its too early for a carrier no as the items prob aren't packed yetBusy mum of 3, so if my posts don't make sense or ask a silly question be patient:rotfl:0
