SunnyGirl - just checked my cupboards so nothing is wasted!
HM American stuffing, baked potatoes, salad
PP - this sounds fab, how do you make this? Also last week you did parsnip and pumpkin risotto - this also sounds fab.

Right my meal plan, in no particular day order: party20.gifparty20.gifparty20.gif
    • Leftovers/bubble & squeak
    • Spicy butternut squash soup (Paul Ross/Come Dine with Me/Channel 4)
    • HM chilli with spicy Gordon potatoes (wash don't peel, cut into wedges, par-boil pots, add oil and chilli, roast)
    • M&S chicken pesto thing c/o £10 offer (not v.OS but a treat!)/or HM beef stew
    • Pasta carbonara
    • Sausage & mash (using local frozen sausages)
    • Roast (using frozen duck legs)
    • Breakfast (eggs, bacon, sausages & potato wedges)
    • Haggis (Asda do a nice one) with mash & veg
Bought a large sack of potatoes from the local garden centre, £8 and the last sack lasted a month. Plus because they have so much dirt on them they last longer/ don't go green. Nature's preservative!

    Hi all,

Had a really busy week last week, so ended up getting home late and buying a take away etc. Not a good habit to get into. I expect a similar week this week, so have been cooking today so that I can just heat stuff up!

    Sun - Chilli & Rice
Mon - Chicken in Mushroom Sauce & Potatoes, Broccoli
Tue - Potato, Chickpea & Spinach Curry & Rice
    Wed - Chilli & Rice
Thu - Baked Potato & Tuna (OH is out at the football)
Fri - Chicken in Breadcrumbs, Coleslaw & Chips
    Sat - Trout & Potatoes
Sun - Haggis, Neeps & Tatties

Will make some vegetable soup for lunches this week and still have some minestrone and lentil in the freezer.

This is the American stuffing recipe. I made a batch at Christmas and froze the rest raw. I put it into a shallow dish and roast slowly.

The risotto is a simple one, with chunks of raw parnip and pumpkin added :D
