well nothing much to report, 11 days to go, all the forms are done, im collecting all the bank statements and cc stuff as it comes in so that its all ready for the OR when he/she wants it. Am still wondering if i need to add anything to the court forms??. Still havent got all the fees together yet but im sure i'll get there.
a few letters from creditors and endless phone calls from Barclays and Halifax during the day. The 18th cant come soon enough.
Silly thing im still feeling guilty about not paying anyone anything.:beer:0 -
Dont feel guilty.....I know its easier said than done I did the same on my BR, sounds like the court forms are ok BUT if it makes your mind ok go through them once again (took me nearly 3 wks before I was happy!! :rotfl: ) ....Hmm I was lucky with the creditor calls didnt get that many..they are hard to deal with but it's not too long now
Hope apart from that your ok & enjoying the weekend
Phil

You'll feel quite lonely when Barclays stop phoning. They phoned me at 8:30 every morning without fail - even on weekends and kept on phoning until 8:59 every evening! The phone never rings now!

hi phil and fyp, cheers for that. barclays must have a set routine for their calls as they seem to be the time they ring me.
I went through the forms again the other day and checked it all, didnt add my gas and electricity arrears so was wondering if i could now?:beer:0 -
Hmm barclays were a total pain in the a*** with me as well....took nearly 6mnths to close my current account by which time due to charges they continued to add was sky high....they still kept calling though in the end I enjoyed the odd game or two with them

think yourself lucky your getting all this attention cos once you go BR nobody will pester you....dont get any telephone calls or exciting post anymore!
Sit tight & hang on its not long now.....We all die. The goal isn't to live forever, the goal is to create something that will0 -
hi haley,
The only ones that ring me now are Abbey and yet it is Abbey that wrote to me telling ME that I was BR! I get about two calls a week - 4 weeks after BR. I am happy with that and the flat is very quiet!!
I have added my last electric bill from npower to the list, I realised I would be favouring a creditor if I was to pay it - it was for the period up to four days before I was BR and I have now switched suppliers. Good timing!

Hi Hg :hello:
Thought I would pop in and see how you are doing. Soon be over now. At least if Barclays ring at the same time you know you can ignore them:D

Thanks, phil, SA and YM. Can add Halifax and now LLoyds to the phone list. I think LLoyds have just realised that I havent paid my loan since November! Hee hee.
Going to have to do some investigating into alternative energy suppliers and phone/broadband/tv. The monthly cost for Virgin is still too much.
Any nice peeps out there got any good recommendations? Ive heard that BT is good but cant afford the reconnection fee!:beer:0 -
OOOh, just had a thought, on the friday before BR day, i get my tax credits paid into my account, will be using most of it for the last bit of the court fees, but thing is, I get paid on friday after BR! Does anyone know what will happen? cos ive already got the Co-Op account set up and working.
Oh crumbs, I knew it was going far too easily

I might have missed something here but why should anything happen? After BR the OR has no interest in your bank balance, everything should be as smooth as silk......
