hello snow birds, isnt it lovely weather?? well not a lot to report apart from the fact that Virgin took out another payment for an outstanding bill, which i had already paid, which then put my lovely new co-op a/c into od. So i rung them up and said 'can i have it back today please' and the nice lady said 'yes' and put it through. just need to ring the co-op to find out what the charges will be.
just when i thought things were going reasonably well. no post today, just a few calls over the weekend from o8 numbers.

If I have understood you correctly, hg - I'd put what you have written above in a letter to both parties and make it clear that O/D charges were incurred only by Virgin's error. Quote the 'nice lady' by name.
I'd be heavy on the dire start this gives you in a new Bank a/c and ask Virgin to make an appropriate goodwill gesture.
Keep a copy(you know this, of course) and send one to Virgin, another to Co-op.
    Good luck.

Hahaha HG!!!! No, this is an ongoing problem which flares up more often than not

Agree with Ampersand that as Virgin made error they should pay the £19.50 charge which you will get from Co-Op and that Co-Op needs to be aware that this is Virgin's fault not yours.

How are you apart from that? How's the money saving going for BR day?

Definatly make sure that Co-op are aware that it is Virgins fault as they have a 3 strikes and you are out policy, so you don't want this to be strike one!!

well two weeks to go and i have manage to get a goodwill gesture out of virgin, as well as the refund of the overpayment, they are also crediting the £20 charges they threw at me plus the £19.50 charges from the bank.
