Qype £50 virgin voucher

I done the Amazon one before Christmas -The voucher came in handy for buying extra pressies!

I just did 41 new reviews and 20 old ones, I am shattered. I had a half way through email but haven't had a final email. Oh well sure it will arrive soon :j

I did the Amazon Challenge and although it was a bit tiresome in the end it was well worth the £50 amazon Voucher and the extra goodies (Which should be with me tommorrow).

I'm trying to write the majority of New/First Reviews so my points build up quicker.... but i'm running out of ideas! Think I'll aim for 5 more tonight and then start again tomorrow.

I agree that Virgin Vouchers are not quite as exciting as Amazon, but £50 is £50 and i'm sure I wont have a problem spending it !!

Just wanted to point out to those who didnt sign up for the Amazon Challenge - You MUST sign up to the Challenge using the Virgin Banner, dont just register as a new user. I remember lots of people got caught out last time and wrote loads of reviews before they realised that hadnt entered the challenge.

I love qype!! but like a few people have said, i did the amazon one and got my voucher (yay) but I don't think I could think of that many places to review now... so in the interest of fairness.. I think I'll have to pass on this one

is it a case of once you hit your 100 reviews (or the equivalent of them) they send the voucher straight away? or did they like wait till after the deadline and send everyones together after that?

'We won't be sending the vouchers out until the deadline of midnight on 31 January has passed, so if you finish your reviews in record time don't worry if you don't receive your voucher straight away. All vouchers will be sent out by the end of February 2009.'

It also states in the terms and conditions that all reviews will be checked for length and quality, although it doesn't specify a minimum amount of words.
Thanks very much to OP for this, had my half way e-mail and I'm nearly finished, not bad for a few hours of typing. Made me realise how many bars and clubs I know too, perhaps I need to cut down on all of that!

Sorry, the 'Need to know' section here http://www.qype.co.uk/promo/virgin does actually state:

' For a review to count towards your voucher it must be at least 100 words long.'

That's what most people seemed to have said following the Amazon challenge anyway.

Your reviews all still seem to be there... at least I can see them.

I think the issue for us all has been the search function which doesn't always throw up places that are already listed. This is particularly the case if you specify a town and the place is listed under a suburb and vice versa.

I guess the answer is to search, where possible, without a town.

I have signed up and started but the virgin voucher will not be much good to me - do you earn anything else by doing these reviews????

I sadly was not able to do the Amazon promotion so am glad to have another chance...I've wanted a Virgin experience day, so this voucher, should I manage to earn it, means I can probably do a really cool day of activities, as I can "afford" something £50 more expensive.
