I've just had this email, hope it helps someone

£50 Virgin gift voucher for free!
Qype have teamed up with the lovely people at Virgin to help you
through the January blues by offering you a free £50 gift voucher!
How do I get the £50 voucher?
All you have to do is register on Qype and then make sure you sign up for the Virgin promotion so we can start counting your reviews. Writing reviews is easy, they can be places in your local area or that you have recently visited. Pubs, restaurants, hairdressers, museums.... Pretty much anything!
If you're already a Qype member, don't worry you can enter too. Just click here to sign up for the promotion.
Reviewing on Qype is fun and easy and you should reach the target number of reviews in no time at all!
How many reviews do I need to write?
We love it when people review places that haven't been reviewed before, so every time you write the first review of a place you'll earn £1 towards your £50.
If you write a review of a place that has already been reviewed by someone else you'll receive 50p towards your £50 goal.
So, basically:
50 first reviews = £50
100 reviews of places already Qyped = £50
Of course you can mix and match your first reviews with reviews of places that have already been Qyped to get to the grand total.
Where can I use this Voucher?
Fancy meals, city breaks, days out, jewellery, wine, health and beauty and much, much more. Click here to see the full list of places where you can spend the voucher.
When do I have to complete the reviews by?
Once you've entered, you'll have until midnight on the 31st January to complete the reviews. So sign up today and you'll have plenty of time! Enter now
How do I know when I've written enough reviews?
Once you've registered for the promotion you should receive an email confirming that you're signed up. We'll send you another email when you reach the halfway point, and finally we'll send you a congratulatory email within 24 hours of you writing enough reviews to qualify for the voucher. If you have signed up to the promotion via this page and haven't received your confirmation email within 24 hours email us on virgin@qype.com with the subject line "virgin" and we'll look into it for you.
Official MoneySavingExpert.com Insert:
Just to add to the above, the offer was originally available just for the first 1,000 people who register for this special Virgin promotion AND who complete the required number of reviews. However, as it launched on Friday and many have registered already, Qype's told us it'll make 400 available from 9pm tonight (Tues 20 Jan). To ensure people who really want to take part don't miss out on the voucher please only register for the Virgin promotion if you're sure you'll complete the required number of reviews in time.

i did this for the amazon promotion. I dont think i can be bothered with this one for a few reasons:
1. the amazon voucher seemed way better as you really could buy pretty much anything.
2. I found it hard to review 50 places so i dont think i would be able to think up 50 more places
3. Even if i could and i wanted the virgin voucher i still cant be bothered. Took quite a long time to do.
Was just wondering if anyone who did the amazon one will be doing this one?
I got my goodies from doing the amazon one yesterday in the post. I have to say i was very impressed with them
edit: sorry, still a good post, will be useful to many people
edit again: oh no im having second thoughts now...my boyfriend likes fancy wine. Maybe i'll do it for him and get him some wine0 -
I'm planning to do this one, and I done the amazon one too.
It's going to be really hard, but this £50 voucher might make the difference of being able to afford a weekend away.0 -

Well, you can't expect it to be easy for a free £50.
I do love Qype, but I don't think I could manage that many reviews. Still, if it helps make the site better I'm all for it - I just hope the quality doesn't suffer.0 -
Thanks for posting this
Just a quick question tough - Is there a minimum word count or some sort of criteria that makes a review count as being one?
Cheers0 -
how long do the reviews have to be?0

I love Qype, and did the Amazon challenge. However I don't think I'll be doing this one, for the same reasons as Toto...I've revieved pretty much everywhere I've ever been! I spent hours and hours thinking of places for the Amazon challenge, and I don't think there's anywhere left. I will still use the site and add reviews whenever I visit somewhere new, but doubt I'll visit 50 places before the end of Jan unfortunately.
It's a great idea for new members though, glad they are still doing promotions like thisIf anyone is thinking of doing it, go for it - it's a fab site and actually loads of fun doing reviews!
