Advice needed re. incident this morning

What a scary experience! I am definitely in agreement with those saying report it to the police. It may not be necessary, but if you haven't yet reported it, I would suggest that both you and your mum write down the details (independently) while it is still relatively fresh in your minds. It may help if the police take a statement later.
I would also be inclined to contact the company, but only after I had reported it to the police, so that I could advise the company of the seriousness of the incident (and with a crime number if you have one).
Now, how are you doing? Hope you and your mum are ok.0 -
I am very surprised that you have hesitated to call the Police. I know we all use this forum for advise etc but i must stress that human life has no duplicate. From what you have described, these people constituted a threat to your life by the dangerouse driving and behaviour. YOU MUST REPORT TO THE POLICE ASAP. Think about it, what if they come back while you are busy foruming and chatting here. Pls dont wait for anymore advise, call the Police asap.
I dont know you from Adam, but i value your life as a fellow human being. Even if you upset your husband, no one has the right to take your life under any circumstance.

I sent an email to the employer telling them what happened. Have had one back saying they would take this very seriously and would contact me with the action taken.
I know 2 of the 3 quite well as I also worked for these people for 6 months. I didn’t think they were the sort to do what they did.
The main reason I posted was really because I was so worried of anything coming back on me and with little one to think of I wondered if I was better off leaving it be.
They have no reason to have any animosity towards me although I say that they don’t know what he’s told them. The truth is hand on heart that he told me on the Monday he wasn’t happy in our relationship, on the Wednesday he’d found somewhere else to live and by the Friday (31 Oct) he’d gone. With no explanation I can only make allsorts of assumptions
I don’t believe for one minute my ex would condone this, regardless of anything else he would not want to see me or the baby come to harm never mind anyone else on the road.0 -
Magpie sweetheart, don't try to justify what they did. It was illegal. It is irrelevent whatever the reasons for the relationship breakdown were.
You do still need to log this with the police.Mortgage free as of 10/02/2015. Every brick and blade of grass belongs to meeeee. :j0 -
You need to at least get the police to make a record of this incident. If it was me id definately ring them and get something done about it. They could have killed you and left your child with no mother!0

You must inform the police.
Their boss will probably take it up with them, but cannot do anything much, not even give them a ticking off without a formal investigation and written complaint from you. Employment Law comes in here. So they just say it did not happen. He can only say to take care when driving. End of.
But that just stops them using company vehicles. This was not a quick, snap decision, actioned by them in anger, it was a sustained and calculated episode where they could have stopped at any time, but did not.
Your ex did not do it, so you dont need to protect him. But if they get something into their heads, they may not be so open and obvious next time. Next time, no witnesses, no CCTV possible. What are you afraid of? Are these local thugs?
Only the police can investigate it properly, as someone said earier CCTV, etc. You delay, and that type of evidence ends up overtaped.
Up to you.
How are you. If you are feeling quite relaxed living alone, driving, walking alone down a street a night, after all this, then maybe dont bother. What the hell, it could have only been attempted murder. But if just this one incident has left you with any fears, then what are you going to do, compromise what you do in life because you are scared.
Although there are a lot of posts, it has only been a short time, and it can take a while to get your head around it all. Please protect yourself BEFORE it escalates, which it may do if not addressed.0 -
I go along with everyone else, i'd report it to both the company and the police. If they get away this time what happens next time. The police have cameras all over the place especially motorways there's a good chance they will have captured it.Liverpool is one of the wonders of Britain,

The police are there to deal with dangerous and intimidatory driving, and the company would not be happy that their marked van was being used for that purpose.0

A little 'telling off' from their employer is not sufficient, not least because you have no idea if in fact the employer really is taking it "very seriously" or just saying this as a way of placating you in order to stop the police investigating - which they should be! If you wait until you hear back from the employer to find out what 'action' they have taken, and then find it is in no way satisfactory, it will be harder for the police to invesigtae later. I don't want to frighten you but what happens if these vindictive barstewards get even more hacked off with you for contacting their employer and do something even worse? The police will have no report/evidence of the first occurance. Please, please, please REPORT THIS TO THE POLICE TODAY! As a pp has said the police can look for CCTV and witnesses. These bullies need to know you are not cowed down by them but will report EVERY CRIMINAL ACT they commit against you. If you report it to the police nothing will come back on you... far from it, it will prevent anything like this happening again.
Very different circumstances but when my dd was threatened by a local thug (who told her he'd have her 'seen to' if she reported it) we called the police immediately. They were absolutely brilliant and we never had any more trouble from said thug!
It is totally irrelevant what you did or didn't do to your ex... or what he has told them you did... no one deserves to be treated in this way. Finally, you don't know who else they have already done this to, or who they might do it again to in the future... Please let us know when you have reported this to the police.“A journey is best measured in friends, not in miles.”

This has happened to a few friends and in everycase there has been someone else. Worst for one of them her husbands special friend was a man. Took her 6 months to find out and all their friends new he was gay.The truth is hand on heart that he told me on the Monday he wasn’t happy in our relationship, on the Wednesday he’d found somewhere else to live and by the Friday (31 Oct) he’d gone.
