:j:j:j I found my taxi! In reality it found me, We were standing outside a local shopping centre having a debate about where to get my wee girl an ice cream & a cream taxi pulls up 10 feet away from us , I had a double take said to my oh thats my taxi & just walked up to it & spoke to the driver. He said that should be fine & he's given me his No to ring him closer to the time.
AND went into M&S & ordered my cake the lovely sales assistant was so helpful & extra careful with making sure everything was exactly right & he was fine about taking the luncheon vouchers I'd been saving up from online surveys, so a 3 tier white sponge cake cost me £19 in cash:j:j I'm so pleased with myself. Finally feels like everything is coming together.

Hi all. Well done on the taxi Violetta :D

I had my make up trial this morning and loved it! I really didn't think I would as I am quite picky about make up. Just going to have a little less mascara on the day as I look a little like a panda now! Also finalised my order with the florist (must have been in there an hour) and it's all come in on budget so very happy about that. Got al but 2 of the rsvp's despite only sending them at the end of June. Had no declines yet.

Oooo got our engagement photo shoot tonight with the photographer (I love it, the one rainy day after all this sun - you have to laugh as we're heading to the local park). Don't know what to wear!! I want to look just like a normal me, so probably jeans...anyone else had one of these? Where did you go/what did you wear? Any advice? Ooo I'm all excited.

Glad to hear everyone elses plans are going well...not long now!
  • I'm getting married on the 14th August....which gives me a grand total of 38 days to go

The only things I have left to do:
    * Go and try on my dress when it arrives (any day now apparently)
    * Get bridesmaid dress altered
    * Check suits fit ushers, groom, best men & Dad when they arrive (beginning of August and hiring them so it's easier)
    * Arrange a time plan for the day (this is going to be difficult as we're getting married at 3:30pm and the car is picking me up at 2:30pm)
    * Arrange where everyone needs to be and when
    * Package everything up to be taken to the venue the day before by my Mum and OH
    * Make the cones for holding kids' favours
    * Order the flowers (florist on holiday until 13th July so will be on the doorstep lol)
    * Tell cake company what fillings we want

Apart from that, it's a matter of paying people (ugh!)

Oh.....and going to the gym every day to try and get rid of my bingo wings!!
;)I am not a complete idiot - some parts are missing;)

    Hello guys *wave*

I'm beginning to panic as there's only 32 days to go till the 7th! ...reminding myself to breathe......in....out...in...

So glad to hear about the taxi Violetta :D and happy to hear about how nice M&S were with the cake - what a great deal too :) You've just reminded me to email my aunt to find out the measurements of the middle cake box too, thanks.

I hope you enjoyed putting on the weight Val :D I've put on 2lb and enjoyed every mouthful. Am going to be very good this week and try to shift it.

I'm not looking forward to paying people either TM but you seem nice and organised :)

Unlike me...!!!!!!....I was supposed to have the table plan ready for tonight.................bye..............!

Had my meeting with the lady from the local Floral arts society, who is doing my flowers for me. She is lovely, I felt really unsure of what I wanted apart from the colours & she really put me at my ease & was so patient, it wasn't till I was going over things with her I realised I hadn't asked my oh what he wanted for his buttonhole:eek:. She is doing a wand for my wee girl 2 bracelet wrist corsage thingys for my bridesmaid & oh best (wo)man, 3 buttonholes 1 corsage, flowers for the top of the cake, the top table and of course my bouquet and thinks it will be around £120 , now I am clueless but it sounds a good price to me.
How is everyone else doing, I can't beleive how quick the time is rushing by!!
Off to email the Hotel, photographer & chase up the scarlet pimpernel oops I mean celebrant.
    Booo!!!

£120 sounds like a great deal to me Violetta! :)

Got the dress fitting tonight with two bridesmaids. Here's hoping they don't try and scratch each others eyes out

Then we're seeing the photographer Sunday to discuss everything, and I haven't even thought about what photo's I want!

    Everything's happening so quickly now.

How is everthign going with everybody else?
