Have a nice holiday Val, do hope you manage not to think about the wedding. I've gotten a bit miffed over a silly email from my bruv over the flowers & don't think he actually said anything wrong just a blokes blunt basic reply to a long deliberated email over his buttonhole & if his wife wants a corsage, & what colour she would like , basically he answered for her saying no, now if he hasn't bothered to ask her on the day she will think why didn't I get her some flowers.
I have to be so careful with her as she doesn't like me. !!!

    Evening all :)

Aimee - so happy your hair and make up trial went well. I've booked me and 1 BM for this Saturday to have a final hair trial. And this time I'm going in with piccies, tiara and veil. I think I am going for long and wavy - more of a relaxed look because my hair doesn't like being up - its so flyaway it all ends up coming back out!!

Violetta - congrats on the taxi and the flowers!! You must be very happy! £120 is an absolute bargain - mine are costing £500 and thats with a friend doing them!!! Don't worry about Bro and SIL - can you just order her a corsage anyway as i'm sure she'll want one on the day. Will it cost much more?

Val - Have a fab holiday! I'm sooooooo jealous :p But you will have a fantastic break and no stressing about the wedding.

SmlSave - Hi :D Not catched up with your MFW diary in a while - hope all is going well.

TangledMemories - Have I put you on the list?? I better double check! You sound very organised. Pls stick around and feel free to prod us wit a stick if we're slacking lol

Kte - I hope your engagement shoot went well. What a lovely idea :T

    Blonder - :hello:

    If I'e missed anyone - sorry :o

Right - updates for me. Hair trial booked for this Sat. No more - as they are bleeding me dry lol. Going for menu tasting on sunday with future in laws. Although we've already decided on chicken and goats cheese tart for the veggies. Getting all the boys measured up for the suits on Saturday. Meeting with the venue on Mon night to discuss timings etc. I must get the vicar to sign my passport application before he goes on holiday, book a make up lady, call the photographer to set up a meeting and sort out the play list for the DJ - although I'm sure thats his job ;)

On a side note - does anyone else have a gift list? I know its a debatable topic!! We set ours up last week with John Lewis - I can't help myself but I keep checking the site to see who has bought what! Aren't I terrible. And I love my sis even more now as I half joked to her that she should get the handheld Dyson (:o) as it was the most expensive item on the list - and I didn't want our guests to feel obligated to spend so much money. Anyway she has bought it - God love her :)

Anyways, I did come online to do my Tesco order. We're supposed to be having a bbq this Saturday - but weather doesn't look very good.

Happy planning all - not long to go now :)

It was already included in the price, think they are worried about there 1 yr old eating the flowers or getting stabbed with a pin or something, completely understandable, I'm just being touchy.

Just checking it is a goats cheese tart for the veggies & chicken for the meat eaters, as a chicken & gouts cheese tart might not go down to well with them, sounds yum though.

No gift list, despite some serious badgering from friends that we need 1, I wouldn't know what to ask for anyway. Hope it brightens up for the BBQ, & the hair trial goes well. We want a report please.

Lol at the chicken and goats cheese tart. It does sound yummy doesn't it but alas no, I meant the chicken for the meat eaters and the goats cheese for the veggies. Me and my punctuation - sorry :o

I swear im more stressed about my hair than anything else. And it doesn't help that I have 3 bits of extensions that have fallen out already lol. Anyway, I have to make sure this trial goes well as I can't afford another one. The funny thing is that I'm probably going to go for a style that deliberately looks like I haven't made much effort lol.

I don't think you're being touchy about the corsage at all - its perfectly understandable. I would just leave the choice with her - its there if she wants it and im sure she will want it on the day!

    Hi All

Sorry I have not been around, with everything going on at work, its been a shock and I have had to regroup, but starting to feel better now. See you in the dole queue Violetta!! And well done on your taxi and flowers. I have been trying to speak to the church florist for some time now but I have not managed to get through, so I might have to end up going somewhere else. All I want is a bouquet for me and my 4 BMs. The buttonholes I ordered from ebay. I only ordered 6 male ones (groom, 4 ushers and my dad) and 2 female corsages (my mum and gf of best man who is doing a reading for us. H2B's mum unfortunately died a few years ago in case anyone is wondering why I didnt get her one, I would have - she will be with us in spirit and the first hymn was her favourite). I could have got for all the family but H2B didnt want to and said i was going overboard. I would have ignored him and got them anyway if it hadnt been for the jobloss. I just thought that in the current context, he was right and I hope no-one else is expecting one or will be offended not to get one!!

On that note as well, a while ago, I ordered 9 disposable cameras for the tables and Im sure I mentioned to H2B, well anyway, i was talking about it yesterday and he hit the roof saying we were paying so much for a photographer, people would use their own cameras anyway etc etc, so now I am going to have to get rid of them. At least it was only £20....

I was wondering - is anyone else wearing a garter to throw at the single boys (after the bouquet throwing at single girls)? I dont wear them and considering how hot I will be in my dress I dont think I would want to inflict throwing such a sweaty object at people!! Also seems silly if I dont wear them - is anyone else doing this?

What else is left to do......... make and wrap the favours, print the name cards, sort the bouquets, finalise seating plans, email the tracklists to the djs.. in fact, Ill do that now.

Booked a holiday the day after the wedding to Malta for a week, staying in a 5* boutique hotel, thanks to redundancy pay :) Ill have enough until end Sep/beginning Oct so hope I will find something before then otherwise I might look a bit silly doing that but I am so desperate for a holiday.

Everyone sounds like things are progressing nicely. Feeling more excited now than anything.

We have had a few people drop out at the last minute which is quite annoying but what can you do!!

Join you on the dole queue:eek: what??? My boss said he'd see me in the morning when I left this afternoon, he might've bloomin told me!:rotfl: Think you're mixing me up with poor Val with that sorry honey.
I've tried making a garter:confused: but I thought it was just for oh not to be flung about the lads:o, not sure that it looks that good anyway so may skip that.

Sorry forgiot to wish you congratulations, well done in getting everything organised, sometimes I think the longer you have the more you stress about things (esp things you wouldn't normally bother about). How did you get an outfit in such a short time?

oops lol sorry Val and Violetta! My head is not all there at the moment....

Only things left to do now are wrapping the favours, printing the place names, finalising the seating plan (its been a work in progress for about 6 months!)

I emailed all 3 DJs yesterday. The last thing for them is deciding on our wedding song, dreading the dance bit in that dress!! I have presented 3 very nice songs to H2B and he heard a song when we were in the suit shop that apparently we both really used to like and he cant remember it!! If only he had alterted me to it at the time.... anyway, I have told him he has until the end of next week and I am choosing one of the 3. We dont have an 'official' song so its been difficult...

Have a couple of agency meetings this morning and an actual interview this afternoon so have a good day all :)
