    Hi girls

My dates are now confirmed so I'm going to join in. My date is Sunday 30th August.

    Ceremony and Reception are booked
Best Man & Page boy chosen and asked
Maid of Honor & Bridesmaids chosen and asked
Save the Date magnets are printed and sent out

Everything else is still to do

Our budget is 3000 and going on the prices I've put together so far I think we'll struggle to stick to that!!

    I NEED to get organised

    Morning everyone!
Another question for all the August brides out there!!! Are you having a videographer?

I liked the idea of having one but realistically we would never watch the tape and therefore decided aginst one. Thou, if someone has one at the wedding I'm sure to steal the footage!

I went to see a local catering supplier last nigh and guess what!?! They had the exact cake stand I want for just £15 plus VAT for four days hire  :D :T I forgot to take the measurments to give my cake-makers (Mum, MIl & Bro) thou :o
Currently studying for a Diploma - wish me luck :)

    Church booked and deposit paid

Thats it! Hoping to sort mine and BM dresses by end Feb (still debating on trying Landy....)
Colours cream/ivory and dark gold (it was green last week)
So.... still a fair bit to do!

I was looking at Landy Bridal as well. I have just ordered tickets to the Wedding sale (dresses from £99) so I will see what I can get there but I also found one on ebay called the Sweetsend Factory Shop which looks good so I was going to take a trip down there. Few options but Landy is definitely one of the top ones.

Another question for all the August brides out there!!! Are you having a videographer? And how much have you paid for this service?

    Thanks girls!

Hi Neeny, yes we're having a videographer. We weren't going to, but I was chatting to one at a wedding fayre and he was so funny. Anyway, he showed me some of his work and I must say that I cried at one of them lol - it was so emotional. We were umming and ahhing then decided to go for it as everyone says how much the day flies by, and it would be great to reminisce. Plus, there are parts that I wouldn't see like the guests arriving at the church - so it would be nice to capture that too. I forget the exact package that we booked but it's priced between £800-900. That includes 3 copies of the DVD.
  • I really want a videographer, I think it will be lovely to watch it back, also on anniversaries and to show any children as well, OH is not too sure and I'm looking at prices, I've found one for £595, which isnt too bad, but I had budgeted £300!
