Hi sammy girl, our wedding day is 23rd August, had too correct it then keep putting and saying to everyone my wedding day :rotfl:
we got the vows through yesterday which was lovely should say them right with 8 months to practice
have decided for favours to get top hat boxes for the men and handbag boxes for women just have decided what to put in them now

val 84 - you are doing well I got engaged 2000 8 years and 2 months ago

sammy girl - what an amazing honeymoon!!

Thanks Nichart! I think OH was hoping for a long engagement but I always said I didnt want a long one. My brother is getting married next year so it was either this year or 2011 and I couldnt wait that long. Im sending my invitations out this week. Spent the weekend making them, Cost about £20 altogether and I think they look quite professional!
I have my photographer confirmed and deposit paid
Caterer confirmed just need to meet to discuss what we want
I think Im going to get my dress of a shop on ebay based in Reading, Going to take a trip down instead of buying straight of ebay as I would rather have a look and see but I found the perfect one and it will only cost £175 :o)

I am too. I have a platimun engagement ring and ould love a platinum wedding band but they are just so expensive! (well the ones I like are! prob because they are set with some diamonds - but they are sooooo pretty! lol)

Anyone got any good websites or places to go for reasonable platinum wedding bands??

Have you tried looking at Palladium instead? Apparently it is part of the same group as platinum so doesnt rub off and they are extremly cheap. I have been looking at www.bandsoflove.co.uk and www.thebeautifulcompany.co.uk are both quite cheap but I wanted one with diamonds so I have found it on Ernest Jones http://www.ernestjones.co.uk/webstore/detail/R/5518342/ I think Im going to go for this one

    Good Evening Ladies :)

Aimee, you have 2 almost twins lol :D

I'm glad to see everyone's planning is going well. Onwards and upwards!

I need to find a new hairdresser now as the one we were going to use is expecting a baby in August  Plus I need to book a cake maker, so these 2 things are what I will concentrate on next!

:T Val you are a star - I have found a number of gorgeous platinum wedding bands on one of those sites and they are much cheaper than on others that I've looked at! Thank you very much!

Another question for all the August brides out there!!! Are you having a videographer? And how much have you paid for this service?

    Thanks girls!

Hello...I'm getting married on 8th August....am in a complete flap as I haven't organised anything! The only things I've done are to book the venue and the registrar, and send save-the-dates. Oh and I had a meeting with the lady who's making my dress, and chosen the fabric - but haven't had measurements or confirmed the style yet...
Am starting to get nervous now - how am I going to sort it all out in time?!!
