  • What about accountancy/bookkeeping type roles, does anyone know what the outlook is for them?

Look at what is happening to KPMG...so I would say no.

If companies go under the accountant goes with them, as an accountant I'm getting almost daily calls/emails from agencies touting staff, this wasn't the case 6 months ago.

If companies go under then less audits etc are carried out by practices, and consultancy work( which is the real lucrative work) ends up being shelved.

KPMG is a good example, but by no means exclusive.
