I'm in credit control. Currently, only junior positions available, seems experienced jobs are being sent out to India or Eastern Europe. (This is both business debt and personal debt). Seriously hoping the bottom falls out the outsourcing ...I wish I was a glow worm, a glow worm's never glum

No it isn't! I've been there, done that & compared to how hard people work in industry & private firms 'Government' staff are very well paid for what they do.I've just started working at the Department for Work and Pensions. I'm going to be on Social Fund as a decision maker.
I'm quite lucky as it means I'm in a secure job (that is assuming that HM Government don't go bust..unlikely, but with all that debt....), and I think myself quite lucky at this time, when everyone else seems to be losing their jobs.0 -

army etc are only paid how much? i know its a job, i know its an extremely worthwhile job, but my word, is that all the government pay for a potential life? shameful..... plenty of people committing crimes should be put in the army... oooooooooo i bet this rant gets flamed and moved... ;-) support our troops is all i say.... they deserve it....
