I was due to fly out on saturday morning to Lesvos, Greece and Thomas cook cancelled my holiday yesterday morning! I am battlling to get a full refund as whilst the staff in the very branch are very nice the procedure is rubbish and I will not accept that I should be out of pocket when I paid in good faith and they have withdrawn the holiday.

I am gutted at not being able to go away but my tears of upset yesterday have now dried and I am turning my emotions into determination at getting ALL of my money back.

Please tell us why Thomas cook cancelled your holiday and why it was withdrawn, they must have had your permission to cancel it, they don't just go round cancelling holidays willy nilly. Holidays are only normally cancelled by the shops manager without the customers permission if they have only paid the deposit and it is going into canx charges and it would cost the shop money if they didnt canx it.
• I recently had a complaint wih Thomas Cook and I was really happy with how they handled it and I had a response really quickly as well. I spoke to someone from the Directors Office and they gave me their e-mail addrress to contact them, they did say that they tell their directors of all complaints, so I was quite happy that this had been escalated. I hope this e-mail address will help you, it is dob@thomascook.com
• I used to work for TC and Kathy Winters is the director of the customer relations department which is based in the Bradford office. She reads all her own e-mails and is your best bet at getting a response

• I am trying to email the above but the email keeps bouncing back who on the list is my next best bit for getting a reponse. I am disabled and I am trying to get extra leg room at the front of the plane, However they are telling me that it is not guaranteed that they are allocated at check in depending on level of disabiltiy. Check in staff are now doctors and able to make an informed decision?

People occupying the seats at the emergency exits must be able bodied. That is why they are usually allocated at check in.

There may be seats in other rows which may be suitable.
• You can book the emergency exit seats on line you just have to confirm you are able bodied and I have done this in the past. However, I am not able bodied now - it is the seats at the front for non able bodied people that are not available until you get to check in.

If you are disabled, then your travel agent can inform special needs of your situation and get you one of the special needs seats, have you tried that option.
• I booked on line myself, no agent involved.

There should be contact details for special assistance, such as an email address or phone number, on their website.
