That should have said a "taking STOCK" night tonight, although it might involve some taking stick when I figure out how much I spent this week :o :rotfl:
    Mortgage Total: £50,720/ £75,000
    Mortgage Overpayments Pot £1587

    Plan of action so far:
    1. Leave CCCS and re-write to all of my creditors with a new budget and proposed monthly payment that will fit in with my wages. I will be honest with them and say that I overcommitted before and have since had my hours cut. It won't be a massive drop so hopefully they will be ok with it. Fortunately I have 8 days in a row off work coming up so will be able to dedicate a day or 2 to finding out my balances, working out my budget etc.
    2. Sort out a food and household budget and stick to it. This is my main downfall as I love little treats but seem to buy them every single day!!
    3. Go through the Avon items that I have and see what I can send back to get credit on them.
    4. Work my backside off on AQA next month and use this money in July to pay off my council tax and possibly a chunk of the electric bill
    5. Get stuff from Freecycle to do a carboot or 2 next month to get some cash to get back my jewellery from the pawnbrokers (and never go back there again!!).
Those are the main things I have thought of whilst eating my dinner (a homemade cottage pie donated by my mum ;)).

I'm going to get my thinking cap on and come up with some more brainwaves. Again, feel free to comment on any of my plans or confessions!!

Oh Emily .... go and put the kettle on, things can be fixed and you can see this as an opportunity rather than a failing ;):D

The sun is shining, it costs nothing to sit in it and makes us feel better ;) Okay, so a cup of tea and a bit of sun isn't gonna solve your problems but you are one determined lady who has proved time and again that you can do it, and you can do it again now :D Yeah its gonna be tough, yeah its gonna be hard work and a challenge, but what fun would this board be without a challenge?? ;)

I'm having a "taking stick and setting new goals" night tonight, may even start my new diary tonight too :j, so stick around tonight and lets see if by bedtime we can get you feeling a bit more positive again ;)

And now time for my honest feedback ..... you are incredibly motivated and hardworking, the only area I can suggest an improvement for you is to make sure you post everyday, its invaluable for keeping you on the right path :D Big hugs hun x

Thank you :A. I sat in my garden with a book for an hour or so and it was lovely.

Good luck with setting your goals tonight. Unfortunately I won't be around much as my ex is coming over to cheer me up . I will not spend any money though I promise.

    Emily xx

Not that sort of cheering up :p - believe me he has got a looooong way to go before anything like that happens again ;). I meant he is going to buy me some food :D.

Whilst waiting for him though, I have managed to find £16.29 worth of Avon items to send back already :j.

TBH i HAVE ALWAYS THOUGHT YOU ARE FAR TOO HARD ON YOURSELF.
You need to set up a realistic budget that you can stick too without the need to work extra, do aqua ect.
Yes, you want to pay the debts back but you need to have a life too and let the debt be on the back burner.
    Just my thoughts.

    Hi everyone

Just a quick update before I head off to my sister's to watch the final of BGT. I feel much better today, like it's a fresh start. Haven't had much time to do anything, have been enjoying the sunshine.

However, I've only spent £15 today (on some essential shopping and petrol) and have already found over £45 worth of items to send back to Avon. That isn't including some things I could send back from my last order either which arrives on Tuesday so will be getting more hopefully.

Will post a proper update later this evening.

Thanks Beanielou. So basically when I do my letters to my creditors, I should only base my income on my main wages and my DLA?

TBH if I was you I wouldent include the DLA either.
It is for your additional needs for your disability.
Ive been a bad beanie & ordered that breast care bag from Avon.
what did you think of BGT result then?
