Which book club is it at work? The bookpeople (and others) have loads of free delivery codes knocking around on hereMortgage Total: £50,720/ £75,000
Mortgage Overpayments Pot £15870 -
Break it down into little steps.
How much petrol until Tuesday?
If you have a supermarket near yoo go at marking down time.
Write a cheque for the dentist?
I will probably need £5-£10 petrol to last me until Tuesday. Will put £5 in tomorrow morning. I've decided that I will use up whatever I have in the house foodwise for the rest of the week at work. I think I've got half a loaf in the freezer so will just have to use that and I have a couple of tins of tuna so that will last me.
Unfortunately evil LloydsTSB took my cheque book and debit card when I went on my DMP. I don't use that account anymore (just gradually chipping away at the overdraft with no interest or charges) and Nationwide would only let me have a flex account with a DD facility and no overdraft/cheque book/debit card. So I will have to pay cash for the dentist.
So I have £32. Minus £16.20 for dentist (can make up the 20p from coppers in my change jar) and £5 for petrol tomorrow, I will have £11 left. Postage will be about a fiver for the Ebay items which leaves me another fiver for petrol if I need it at the weekend.
So should be ok but just can't afford any food. Let's hope my mum buys me some.

Thanks, I can't remember which one it was. It's not the Book People I know that much. Will have a look tomorrow and see if they have a website.

Ok, feeling less panicky now!! I have cooked some sausage rolls that I had in the freezer and will take them into work tomorrow and will make sandwiches with some of the frozen bread for Friday. Will probably have enough for Monday too.
I've just done up the 2 Ebay parcels and they should only cost £5.05. Will make sure I take 5p worth of coppers to make up the difference.
I have stashed away the nail varnish for my sister's birthday even though I am very tempted to use it myself!! I think I will get something like that once a fortnight and by the time her birthday comes around, I will be able to give her a massive gift bag full of little presents that would have hardly cost me anything as I will look out for little bargains. She will love opening loads of little presents.
I actually can't wait to go to the dentist. My bottom front teeth feel really weak and I think one of them is actually wobbly. Just want to get it sorted so they feel normal again. I will never avoid the dentist again!! Just hope it doesn't cost me too much.
Right, going to read 1 chapter of my book then hit the sack.

Hi everyone
I have spent £10.05 today after putting £5 in my car and posting my Ebay items which cost £5.05.
I am really bricking it about the dentist tomorrow. My front tooth is definitely loose. It feels really weird. I just know they are going to have to take it out and put a false one in. God knows how much that will cost!!
I did a short survey earlier today and will get £3 for that at some point. I am also in the middle of completing a Pinecone survey so that's another £3 coming my way.
Having dinner round my mum's, chicken pie and croquettes. She always insists on cooking me dinner as she probably thinks I won't eat otherwise!

hiya huni,
ive just enjoyed a nice sit down and good read of your thread
mobility car - have you checked about a grant?
http://www.motabilitycarscheme.co.uk/main.cfm?Type=CHTA
have you got your blue badge and cinema card?
best thing we ever got was the mobility car, it has given us such a peace of mind and saved us a fortune,
i had a look on that website for q&a, but are they not wanting anyone from the uk at the minute? it sounds very interesting
good luck hun.0 -

Hi Claire
I agree, getting a motability car was the best thing I ever did. I was paying £180 a month on the finance on my old car and I managed to sell it and pay off the loan thanks to my motability car.
I don't think I am entitled to the grant as I could have easily got a car with no advanced payment as I don't need it adapting or anything so I think they will look at it that way. I don't think they will fund my £150 for Hot Magenta metallic paint.
I did have a cinema card but it expired. I must get round to renewing it as it is quite handy for a fiver. I have got my blue badge, even though I get filthy looks most of the time when I use it (I may look healthy but my insides aren't!!).
Keep looking at AQA for vacancies and if you haven't got a degree, don't let it put you off. I haven't got one and they accepted me, even though they claim you need one.
Take care
Emily xx0
